Nerf toy causes lockdown at Long Island school. Evidently the Nassau County Police department is now showing the effects of being taught by moron teachers who suspend 6 year olds for having assault fingers. As you can see the Nerf gun below certainly looks realistic.

No, the idea is that it’s ANY kind of gun at all, toy or real!!!
Srsly folks, if you read the story, all things considered this did NOT sound unreasonable, given the recent horror stories. It was one of the kids reporting this, who would not know better, and there are some odd-colored real guns out there — somewhere I just saw an ad for (I think ) a .22 Walther half in lime green.
As soon as responsible adults found this and understood what it was, the lockdown was lifted, and it doesn’t sound like anyone was prosecuted/suspended etc. for having it.
I think the school got it right.

That’s what I’m saying, it WASN’T a school administrator overreacting to a Nerf gun. It was another student or a passerby who phoned it in to 911. As soon as the school saw what the real situation was, it was over.

Why haven’t charges been brought against the person who bought this for this child ? Why can’t children understand that even a Nerf gun , especially an assault Nerf gun , is pure evil ?
