Back from the dead: It's party time for conservatives
Bad news for James Carville, the liberal pundit who predicted that Barack Obama’s election had ushered in a 40-year era of Democrat rule:
A new Gallup Poll shows that people who call themselves conservative outnumber those who call themselves liberal. That’s not just in one state, not just in two states, but in all 50 states. The conservative advantage holds true even in 30 states where Democrats lead Republicans in party identification.
So much for that 40-year socialism thing.
The specifics: 40% percent of respondents said they’re either “conservative” (31%) or “very conservative” (9%). On the other hand, 21% said they’re either liberal (16%) or “very liberal” (5%). 35% said they’re moderate.
“In fact, while all 50 states are, to some degree, more conservative than liberal (with the conservative advantage ranging from 1 to 34 points), Gallup’s 2009 party ID results indicate that Democrats have significant party ID advantages in 30 states and Republicans in only 4,” Gallup said.
“Despite the Democratic Party’s political strength– seen in its majority representation in Congress and in state houses across the country–more Americans consider themselves conservative than liberal,” Gallup continued.
Don’t know about you, but this is what we call hope and change.

Barak Obama is the best thing that’s happened for the conservative movement in the United States. His socialist big-government ideology is turning people back to traditional U.S values.
November 2010 is going to be a very fun time, indeed. After that, I fear a third party conservative/libertarian candidate screwing us up in 2012, the way Ross Perot handed us Clinton.
I hope the galvanized conservatives will thwart a third party candidate and instead embrace a conservative/libertarian candidate as the Republican nominee. We can’t afford otherwise. I live in a democrat-dominated city, but I am getting ready to apply some of my fabulous bumper stickers to my car… screw the possible vandalism.
possible vandalism
You mean “certain vandalism.”
