New York newspaper to list more gun permit holders after uproar. Self-righteous journ0listic attention cravers drum up more controversy as they do anything to get their way and “serve the public”… but mostly to get their way. The Rockland County Times delivers some pushback: “What You Don’t Know About the Agenda-Driven Journalists in Your Neighborhood.”

This is a blasphemous attack on law abiding gun owners that should not be tolerated. It’s so bad that I’d think a class action suit could be brought against this rag that could destroy it.

I think it would be hilarious of a bunch of gun owners got together and started following these people and their families around 24 x 7, videotaping their every move and posting it on a website.

THAT would effectively stop these creeps. They are all cowardly in character. They are never challenged so they post whatever they deem negatively fit about those that they despise. But if it happened to THEM, they, the ones so pure in motive as the driven snow (in their minds only), why, this could not be tolerated. The postings would be quietly stopped and they’d go back to reporting on AGW, or abortion rights, or what Obama had for breakfast and what picture of him is best.

When the bloggers start listing their college daughters’ dorm room numbers and photographs(and their turn-ons), maybe the leftist hack “journalists” will stop-then again, they are shit-all-stupid on the left-so they will probably risk their families’ lives to make their anti-gun points known.

What if a paper listed schools without armed guards?

Amazing match to a stereotype! The pictures of these smarmy, arrogant journOlists women, and of course their attitude, matches exactly the picture I conjure up of know-it-all, Obama-loving, abortion-promoting NYC women.

Then they should have their children’s schools listed. It’s public record as well. While at it list their home addresses, banks, cars and anything else that’s floating out there.

Maybe posting the car make, color, and license plate numbers for the editorial staff.

Journos are 90% liberals, so I can understand how they would justify this illiberal invasion of privacy: “The people’s right to know.” What I can’t understand is how newspapers can infuriate tens of thousands of law -abiding private citizens at a time and not realize why forty percent of newspaper jobs have disappeared in the last ten years. This year, the Gallup Poll reported, and the Pew Center confirmed, that three out of five Americans put little or no trust in the MSM. Yet, I have been unable to find any serious consideration by MSM’rs about why that is so, when the reasons are so obvious to everybody else.

What needs to happen is that these people need to shunned from civil society. They need to be verbally abused by people in public for their actions. They need to feel uncomfortable in public, & they need to know they are not welcome. Time to turn the table on these assholes.

I still say that they’re doing a great service to gun owners everywhere. I, for one, would think twice about unlawfully entering the home of anyone “outed” in this pathetic piece of journalism. If anything, they’re aiding and abetting the criminal, who would likely avoid the homes on this list, and go to the neighbor who’s not. Too bad these “journalists” aren’t as tenacious in exposing the raw sewage known as our government.

What about the people that have guns that aren’t registered?
Many guns were purchased before registration was required.

Great point.. I was thinking the same thing.. Its just public data, but now easier for criminals to pick their targets– the gun free homezones

Any evil person who wants to do a free shopping spree at someone’s house would just avoid the areas with great red dots and go to the places where there are no red dots. They say that the public needs to know… know what? That their neighbor is a law abiding person that has a weapon that could be used to defend even the neighbor in need? So obviously they are looking out for the publlic that is either deranged or criminal. Liberals don’t care about public safety if it undermines their agenda.

Prepare for a crime spree at the houses where there are no red dots.
Also prepare for shootouts in the gun free zones, when criminals run into each other trying to rob the same houses.
This is nothing more than a map for cat burglars to plan their future heists.

If this happens and people (especially children) die and it can be proven that the criminals went to those homes because of the maps who pays for the those that die? who pays for the property lost? who pays for lives hurt? Will it be Bush’s fault?
If anything these maps are prime to mark gang territories as well where gangs see no purpose in messing with the red dot areas and move their bases and activities to the no red dots. The no red dots schools are now primary target thanks to these idiots… heck not just for thiefs and gang members but also pedophiles and serial rapists. Stake out a house where parents are not there most of the time AND they have no weapons that the girl could get to, to defend herself. If any of these things happens (hopefully not) who then pays for that?

Yes, because he didn’t outlaw guns when he was President.

That was my take Kimmy. They may as well have put out a welcome mat for the unarmed homes. THOSE are the people who should besuing. Their level of safety has been seriously compromised by this action. I DO feel this is an invasion of privacy, but then I figured if I had a gun in my home, and someone wanted to “out” me about it, I would encourage them to list my firearms training and a quote to the effect “yes, I am a gun owner and I am not afraid to use it.”

There’s an update on Drudge, it appears the paper has hired ARMED security guards because the names and addresses of the employees were published in a bunch of places on line….OH NO………………There’s GUNS at the newspaper, are they going to publish a list of the gun owners they hired for security?
