Nominee scheduled to be lone woman in Obama’s cabinet is a Brit. Apparently no American-born women are worthy of cabinet-level positions. But remember, it’s the Republicans who are waging war on women.

Let’s not forget she couldn’t get her ass to Washington, DC fast enough to get REI and Obamacare waiver either.

This woman’s a Brit? No problem. Kenya was a British colony at one point, so…

A Brit? So “Dear Leader” is importing even more Commiecrats?

Brit is a misnomer, she moved here with her family when she was 3 and became a citizen at 19. She can sit on the Supreme Court if the Senate would confirm her.

“and critics have complained that Hillary Clinton’s departure means women have been relegated to more minor cabinet posts”

Waaa, and she’s white to boot.

Yeah, but a girl raised by British parents is not going to have a 100% American viewpoint, is she? Like Obama was steeped in communist and Muslim viewpoints, she was undoubtedly steeped in a British viewpoint. What a strange choice for managing the vast landholdings of the American public. Why in the hell can’t he find 100% Americans for his cabinet? Do we have a shortage of unemployed people?

I don’t like her because he does, where she was born is irrelevant to me if she’s up to the job of managing public (read; the peoples) lands in the best interests of the people who own it.

And I really don’t get your 100% American viewpoint comment, almost sounds a touch xenophobic even though I’m sure your not a xenophobe.
Look at all the born and bred 100% American thinkers who elected this moron twice. What about Steyn? would you be comfortable with him taking the job? I sure as hell would.

[edit]Curious, lived here since she was 3, citizen since 19, and you don’t consider her a ‘real’ American?

There’s nothing wrong with a little xenophobia – sometimes the foreigners really are out to get you.

I just think it would be nice if the country was being run by Americans, and preferably some of the Americans who make up a majority of the population. Right now we have Harvard and/or Yale graduates filling 100% of the top positions in two of the three branches of the government, plus none of them – not one top position in any of the three branches of government – is filled by a Protestant Christian (the main religion of the USA), plus the President is a Kenyan communist raised in Indonesia who wants a British born naturalized citizen running arguably the most powerful department of the federal government. C’mon! What is wrong with this picture?

And I didn’t even get into how many of these MFers are Masons. I’ll save that for another post.

Wait, wait, I should have mentioned that Brennan, nominee to head CIA, converted to Islam while he was stationed in the Middle East. That reassures me.

That’s all well and good and I agree with a lot of it, but it’s still misdirection and deflection from me asking you what a ‘real’ American is and if Mark Steyn would be acceptable in a cabinet position. I just took issue with the broad brush.

“C’mon! What is wrong with this picture?” Don’t try to flip it and make this about me, this is the third time over the years you’ve done it and this time I refuse to play. I make a point (usually a valid one imho), you go hither and yon on your high horse shouting down the opposition with non sequiturs.

See above. While mostly accurate it has nothing to do with my original little point and could be seen by some as a personal attack and attempt to belittle the asker of a thorny question. Gee, where have we seen those tactics.

Oh,oh, did you see Beyonce flash the Illuminati Sign during the Super Bowl halftime show? Spooky

From her list of qualifications, she’s more of an American than Obama is. That doesn’t make her a good choice for the post, though.

Who the hell peed in your Cheerios? She’s British. She was raised by British parents. She’s the only woman in the cabinet. If you don’t think that matters, fine. You can disagree without having a cow about it asshole.

Now THAT’s name calling. I threw it in because you don’t seem to know what it is.

ah JP! That wasn’t nice, you can defend yourself with out using that kind of language against your own friend… and Ghost, that wasn’t quite fair, JP doesn’t “go hither and yon on your high horse shouting down the opposition”… ok wow, now, now, both of you take a breath… Looks like I’m going to have to seperate you two! JP, you take that corner there to my right and Ghosty, you head to my left…No coming out until you can speak nicely to one another.

AH ah, said could be seen by some, not that I felt it was Think you know if I had a serious bitch I’d say so. What rubbed me the wrong way was you’re usually a stickler for details and it came across as playing word games.

And the hither & yon thing was me poking you for ignoring my first point. And I still don’t like her because 0bummer picked her.

And the Beyonce Illuminati thing should have been a clue that I was pitching a snit among friends instead of seriously hacked off. [_]2, No that’s not coffee, that a frosted mug of Michelob Amber Bock,

Back to work for me, see you later.

Okay, okay, I’m sorry I used the word asshole. There are so many better words, like….

Never mind. I grew up arguing politics and I love it so one must never take me too seriously. The dinner table was always a free fire zone between my older sister and I, culminating with the story that is her all-time favorite. I was a reader, you see, not a talker, and I had read the word “enigma” hundreds of times but meanwhile, with both my mother and sister being nurses, I had heard the word “enema” hundreds of times. Naturally I assumed that what I was hearing was the word “enigma.” So one day (I was about ten) after a particulary passionate argument about Lyndon Johnson, I stood up, looked at my sister, and said, as my final words, using all the dignity I could muster, “Well, Mary, it’s all an enema to me!”

She almost choked on her food, and I thought she would never stop laughing. I had to look up the two words in the dictionary to figure out what I’d done.

Related to sad penguins , it says in her bio that she climbed Vinson Massiff , which if true , is impressive but requires a massive amount of money to pull off .
