NY State Sen. Ball: “We need to have a national conversation about nut control”. Regarding the Journal-News publication of gun owners personal info: “And, at the end of the day, we’re talking about a bunch of eggheads at a very liberal newspaper that they don’t go out of their way to show us where the sexual predators live. … They’re focusing on the people who [own guns] the right way, are following the law, paying their taxes, and they put them in the same category as a level three sexual predator. That is B.S.” In other words, it’s modern journ0lism.

He is right. We have to make sure the crazies are under control without violating obvious freedoms that are due to human beings. I don’t understand how people like Juan Williams can actually say they feel safer not being surrounded by guns while he goes to a secure building and probably had children go to secure schools. It is insane.

What’s the old expression?
A liberal is conservative who has’nt been mugged yet.
If someone targeted one of their own, they might feel differently about guns.

Another Liberal-land tactic that backfired..Mainstreaming the mentally ill. We are not talking about developmentally disabled, I mean the nut cases that wear tinfoil hats, talk to doorknobs, eat cement, and assorted other bizarre behaviors that liberals want us to celebrate as “diversity”

In Law Enforcement, we respond over half our time with the mentally ill, they call about aliens int he attic, get naked and run down the street, climb the sides of a bus, stand around in the middle of the street showing everyone they are not wearing underwear ( and none of them look like a model) they fight, they steal, they are sick and DO NOT get the proper treatment because they are allowed to run loose.

I am not saying all the mentally ill should be in an institution, but there are some that must be, they can not be fixed by a group hug or a gift of a stuffed animal, there are real DANGEROUS people out and about, and today I swear the people who treat them, (Liberals) are more nuts that the mental patients.

Mental patients can use cars, knives, box cutter, lighters, a glass, bottle, a flashlight and thousands of other things as weapons. There was a police Sergeant killed with his own flashlight by some nut case years ago in the department I use to work for.

WE need to talk about it, no bullshit, no libturd flowery conversations. How about we stop paying off the Muslim Brotherhood (of thugs) and use that money to help the mentally ill? Think how many facilities we could build with the money we pay to that world wide nuthouse the U.N.

Someone needs to bring this up and shove it up the libturds ass. Maybe, just maybe if we have these serious loony tunes in an institution, they won’t be able to get mommy’s assault rifle and raise all kinds of hell.

I would like to see a libturd respond to that. (Not you Crowley, your insane and in a battle of wits you would be unarmed)

Our local pd, pop of suburb about 80K, received over 1,600 911 calls from one nut case every year, year after year. 12-15 calls per day were not uncommon. Things like her head was on fire because the neighboring apt was using their microwave, incoherent screaming, etc. You name it, she came up with it. Of course, these calls had to be responded to “just in case”. The apt owners couldnt get rid of her, her neighbors were afraid of her and regularly moved, her relatives disowned her.
Attempts to get her institutionalized was met with “oh, there is nothing wrong with her.” Finally, about six months ago she was indeed placed in a loony bin somewhere.
Sometimes I think the psychologists are wackier than their patients.

I can understand that back in the day institutionalizing people just because they wouldnt bend to the person’s will or to hide a secret was done too liberally. So I can understand why the laws changed, but after evidence exists that the person is crazy there has to be a way to put the person away for their own good and treatment and to protect the public. There has to be a way to avoid people using instititutions as a punitive process, but at the same time putting them there when it is truly appropriate.

How very true.
I have seen it firsthand, In NJ they tried it, releasing hundreds of mentally ill and putting them up in shore towns during the winter, when rentals are near zero occupancy. It seriously backfired, because the former patients didn’t want to move when the seasonal renters would come back, and the seasonal renters didn’t want to take their families to a place full of mental patients. It was a lose-lose situation! They suddenly had hundreds of uncontrollable mental patients wandering the streets, and they lost untold millions in tax revenue because a formerly thriving beach/summer attraction community, now has zero income except for the state paid rent revenue.

On the way to bed but saw this, don’t know if it’s true but if it is…

“Blogger publishes reporters’ addresses in retaliation for reporters publishing gun owners’ addresses, hilarity ensues”

Check it in the AM, but I hope it’s true. Night all, late Merry Christmas & early Happy New Year.

{God I hope it’s true and somebody smacked them right back}

I didn’t vote for Ron Paul and neither did any one else besides you and a few mental patients. What the F*ck does Ron Paul have to do with this thread? Your nuts Crowley, Straight up insane with a almost feminine man crush on Ron Paul. Fetish perhaps? Your worshiping a dead horse, a has been, a never will be, If you gonna spend the rest of your life riding on Ron’s leg, I say have mommy put you on her lark scooter and take you to a mental health facility. If your this in love with an old wrinkled guy, you got issues.

I have to wonder why Wonder Boy here, if he’s a Libertarian, didn’t vote for Gary Johnson. He was actually running for President.

Crowley wouldn’t make a zit on the ass of a Libertarian.

I have actually been wondering that myself. If he was being true his hard on would have been for Gary Johnson who didnt have a chance, but I would have at least respected that out of ideal he voted for him. Voting for Ron Paul was a waste of a vote. Even though GJ in my opinion would still be a waste, i couldn’t necessarily hate if the intention was a good one. This guy is a freak.

I voted for Johnson without wasting my vote. I live in California. The Presidency is decided entirely by people in swing states. Which is why it’s time for the Electoral College to go.

I don’t mind people voting for him in the end it would be a matter of principle and you are right in some states it wouldn’t matter.

Neither Obama nor Romney represented my views. Johnson did.

I personally felt that if I was going to vote even though not a swing state and it was obvious that Ronmey would win the state, that I couldn’t vote for anyone else. Any vote not for Romney was for Obama in my opinion. Perhaps it was the desperation for this man not to win. That is just my personal opinion. However, voting for Paul was a complete waste. Even though we may disagree on it being a waste or not, I cannot disagree with the feeling that on principle voting for Gary J. was the best thing to do for someone who felt like you did, that neither candidate actually represented their views well. It is best to vote for someone on principle especially in the case where the state was not a swing state, than to not vote or to vote for the whacked out candidate or for someone that the voter doesn’t believe in.
