OK, I was going to say that I can’t tell who that is by the picture, but the limp-wristed shooting style leaves very little doubt.
Unless that’s a .410, he has very little control over the gun holding it that way.
Now, do any of you have a shotgun with that big of a Parkerized slot in the barrel? I haven’t ever seen that much sideways discharge from a shotgun before.

That is really a fancy ported double barrel, but there does seem to be an awful lot of smoke. I’ve spent 25,000 shells easily over the years on clays. I loaded most of my own shells. There is smoke, but this looks like a lot. The port is believable. Over/under double barrel shotguns never have different length barrels. This looks weird to me cuz the top barrel, the one discharging in the pic appears to have something alien sticking out of it.

Any choke ought not protrude. If they’re screw in type they go all the way in. I don’t know if the high roller doubles would have interchangeable chokes. I know none of my guns ever would. I don’t like the idea at all. If I were dropping a few thou on a trapper it would have the chokes I wanted and that would be that.

OK, that’s what threw me, I didn’t look at the bigger photo, so I took it to be an “auto unloader” with a magazine tube underneath.
I think now that I’ve seen the larger photo, I would agree with Kick, it looks like an adjustable choke.

It’s very unlikely that he’s shooting skeet here because he’d be aiming up much more. He’s just firing for the photo-op. And good question on the side discharge. Such BS! So, we’re supposed to believe that the POTUS is a manly sportsmen? Not happening!

Not to mention that it’s awful far back from the muzzle. I’ve never seen any gun with a muzzle control that far back, or what looks like a sideways discharge, they are usually top vented to control climb.

High house and low house shooting, the low bird can be on a plane like this but it would have to have fallen almost to the ground for this shot. His stance and posture looks more pansy than his baseball pitch.

I have seen ports 5 or six inches from the muzzle on some 30 inchers. Don’t care. This is staged and that’s that. What photographer stands forward of the shoot line on a skeet range?

I agree with Plainsman & DHM. (Sorry Poppa, I dont know enough about what you are saying to comment) My first thought was that the bird has to be bird is awfully low. If the bird is that low it is most likely out of range or falling to fast to hit anyway. And who the hell that “shoots all the time” would have their trigger hand elbow like that? Looks like a girl shooting her first shot after no instruction.

Good catch on the photographer thing. That’s one thing that bothered me about the picture. As I said, it “feels” wrong, but I just can’t figure it out… like a bunch of small things just don’t add up.

I agree with all here: the way he’s holding the weapon, the way his eyes seem to be focused downward, no where near the sight plane of the shotgun or front bead. Photo op for sure. There is absolutely nothing “real” about this administration.

I agree about the low shooting angle for skeet. Was my first thought. And something about the hands does not look right. I would not surprised at all if this were phony. Plus, it shows what an arrogant ass he is, trying to belay all the ribbing he got about it.

It’s the left arm. His elbow should be about shoulder high. I’ve never shot a rifle or shotgun comfortably with my rear arm in that position.

1-there is no recoil present-it is a “dummy round” loaded with smoky powder
2- he’s wearing fucking mom-jeans
3- he is not aiming at an angle indicative of shooting at a clay, so this is a driveway out at a donor’s house in fairfax county shooting into the woods.
4- he’s wearing fucking mom jeans.
5- why is there not a wider angle shot, depicting a target/a trap range, etc? Cause it is a donors driveway as I said.

once again-the girly-est president in US history commits yet another fraud of his character. He is no more a trap shooter, than I am a quilter!

The spin machine is in full cycle that’s a given. I don’t have a shot gun that gives out that much from the side. I’ve got an Ithaca 12 ga that his limp wristed ass wouldn’t shot that way. The secret service would pick his ass up off the ground if he did. As for shooting skeet, no way no how.

Is he left handed? I always rest the butt on my right shoulder. Regardless, this is not a picture of a man shooting skeet. He may be holding a gun, but he is not shooting at ANYTHING. I can’t say all of the little details of why but I can just SEE it. It does look like he could get a broken jaw, but I don’t know the gun, so I can’t say for sure. Reminds me of those stupid punk gangsta’s who hold the gun sideways. I always think “yeah – get a gun with a kick little boy and you will have a broken wrist”.

And yeah, Matthew – I am a mom, and my jeans don’t rise up half as high as his. That’s just so wrong. He’s such a pansy!

My brother is left-handed.. He’s a fantastic artist, too.. I always said he was cheating because his brain was wired differently. I thought it looked odd as a kid, when he was writing, having to push the letters forward across the paper, rather then pull them along. Schools had trouble with him in the early elementary years

There are no images of Obama released that are not propaganda. So the question is why show him shooting a gun after demonizing guns for the last several weeks?

I am guessing since there is such a strong backlash to the democrat’s anti-gun propaganda he’s setting up an escape-hatch for himself with this skeet shooting malarkey. With such images he can point to them, when the idiotic anti-gun measure fail to get support, and say with righteous indignation that HE was never against restricting anyone’s guns – if he needs to. He’s already tried to say this but it didn’t stick. So the photo is more “evidence” in this directions.

And of course, people are not all the same. Some are more comfortable in a forward lean than others. Here – http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126880 – is another site with a bunch of people talking back and forth about what is the right way to shoot rifle versus shotgun. Funny that the AR15 type rifles is so easy to shoot and has been refined so much that there are examples of it available now with recoil so slight it could be considered practically imperceptible. A little nudge on the shoulder accompanied by no barrel rise. They are truly wonderful little guns. They’re light and easy to wield, adaptable to every type situation save for hard penetration targets. Typical 223 FMJ bullets disintegrate on 1/2″ steel plate, where a 308 FMJ will burn through it leaving what looks much like a slightly gnarled 1/2″ drill hole. The venerable 30.06 will blast through block walls, you don’t need to have a 50BMG to do that, although they are better at it!

Placing the stock of these AR15s high on your shoulder doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong at all. Depending on the application and the comfort of the shooter, these rifles are highly versatile.

Shotgun loads for trap, skeet or any high volume shooting are typically light loads because, let’s face it, after you bruise your shoulder, repeated shooting is not much fun.
