First we’ve got to give James Spader mad props for taking off the weight, getting on with his life -after losing Molly Ringwald to Andrew McCarthy- and finally being able to grow a mustache. But perhaps this fellow had better be a little more careful with the commentary. I’m going to give Obama a break on this one. Many leaders visit the White House each year and Obama has to meet with them; it’s difficult to say something original to each head of state, especially if the teleprompter is malfunctioning and Barry’s not certrain if he’s talking to the head of a foreign nation or a governor of one of the 57 states. Too, the countries mentioned are actual allies (Denmark, Norway, England, Germany, France, Israel, Ireland, Japan, etc.) so I’m happy Obama was praising them rather than apologizing to them…it’s a step in the right direction.
…and remember, Denmark and Ireland, like Vermont and North Dakota do punch above their weight.
