In between whatever he was so busy with, President Obama still managed to find time to phone in a speech from an undisclosed part of the White House on the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. But you can bet he won’t be too busy to pick up his Nobel Peace Prize in person.
During his prerecorded speech, President Obama made this self-referential observation, “Few would have foreseen … that a united Germany would be led by a woman from Brandenburg or that their American ally would be led by a man of African descent. But human destiny is what human beings make of it.”
Few would have also foreseen how the One would deftly work in a tribute to Himself during his tribute to the fall of the Wall. However, Obama’s Teleprompter somehow forgot to mention Communism, the Soviet Union, Joseph Stalin, Nikita Khrushchev, Mikhail Gorbachev, Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Lech Walesa or Pope John Paul.
In Obama’s telling, the Wall just got built by itself, and was mysteriously torn down one day for no apparent reason.

Obama does not get it, he does not understand the greatness of America, he does’nt respect the greatness of the American people, & wants to overhaul the very constitution that makes it all possible. He is a danger to the American way of life, & I hope that the people can limit the damage this educated fools is doing to this nation.
That is a very strong opinion. Could you be a little more specific? How is he a threat? Hoe would he like to ‘overhaul the constitution’? How is he a danger to the American way of life? What is the damage and how would you like people to limit whatever it is?

when i first heard about this, i was surprised that the germans were actually applauding
doesnt it seem ironic? you know, celebrating freedom, but then a giant tv broadcasts an enormous figure with a loud, reverberating voice interrupts you to talk about how awesome he is?
it just seems like every fantasy that includes a dictator, this is how he communicates with his underlings.
its like the beginning of half life 2, breen is there on the tvs above the streets, with his little speeches on the speakers on loop, telling you about how you cant live without his help, etc, etc.
The Germans weren’t applauding Obama’s speech, they were simply welcoming America’s membership into socialism.
I’ve been to Germany many times and there is much to like about the people and their country. But the socialism under which they live is not anything I admire–it’s stifling.
I’m sorry but you are wrong. The current German government is Centre-right – the Christian Democrat Party – led by Angela Merkel and the nation, like every other European nation, is a free-market capitalist nation.
