The Obama administration has been hiring journalists left and right. But Rick Santelli probably shouldn’t bother sending over his resume.
At a White House press conference today, Obama press secretary Robert Gibbs was asked for the president’s reaction to Santelli’s outburst on the floor of the Chicago commodities exchange yesterday. Two things stood out about his answer.
First he said everyone at the White House got a good laugh out of it.
Then he concluded his longer remarks by saying, “I’m sure Mr. Santelli doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
Every time Obama announces more of his “stimulus” program, the stock market plunges anew, announcing rather clearly that Wall Street thinks it’s Mr. Obama who doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

I love this guy, he has a bright future. Cracks me up how Crissy has to bunch him together with Hannity and Limbaugh because these three people are the only ones with the onions to question Obama’s plan. How about calling the man a true patriot.
He realizes what is happening is just counter to the way Americans operate and he is taking a stand, its not political, its patriotic.
And the news babe trying to imply somehow that the trade is now famous as a result of this whole thing just goes to show you how arrogant and self-centered the media is. How about asking the guy what he thinks of the mess…wait, she knows what he will say so if she can get him to talk about his new found celebrity, perhaps nobody watching will realize how much they have been shilling for Obama since he started running for office.
Rick, keep it up man!

Mr. Gibbs had a Marie Antoinette moment when he dissed Rick Santilli’s outburst on the floor of the CBT. Imagine laughing at your doctor when he shows you the x-ray with the spot on your lung. Imagine the hubris of laughing at a guy who has spent decades dealing with the markets and who is educated in all matters of economics as Mr. Santilli surely is. But wait I misspoke. Santilli was never a community organizer.
