Seriously, this nation is no longer a constitutional republic, but a social welfare state. The recipient is more important then the provider, & if you work, you don’t pay enough taxes. The fallout…

Again, higher taxes, much higher taxes.

Energy prices will go up, way up. Coal, oil, & natural gas will all be phased out for green energy. $5 plus a gallon gas will be the norm. Plus wait until you home energy bill matches your morgage payment, don’t cry to me if you voted for Hope & Change.

Jobs will be shipped abroad. Hell, just watch GM & Jeep, both Gov’t sponsered entities. Lots more made in China labels to come your way. Plus all of the jobs that will never be created here because of our growing regulatory superstate. 99 weeks won’t cut the cheese, let alone the mustard. But it will stink.

Our currency will be devalued, print money, lots of new “Quantitative Easing”, or counterfeiting your money, & when they get lazy, they will digitize the US Dollar. They already are, & you will see inflation up the wazzoo.

Your gun rights WILL come under attack, via unconstitutional laws, massive taxation on ammo, & executive orders & regulations. Oh, & the UN backdoor plays will come as well.

The 1st Admendment will also come under attack. Watch what happens to talk radio, & they will come after control of the internet. Hell, we have a guy who made a sh!tty video & posted it on YouTube in jail to cover up what happened in Libya. Don’t tell me that they will not come for El-Rushbo, Beck, Hannity, Drudge, or whoever else they don’t like. Because they will, & you know it.

You will also see bans & regualtions on everything else. Bloomberg is doing that all the time, & that will spread westword.

We may also see the attempted nationalization of “vital”industries, which will lead to shortages of everything taken over. Price controls may also be coming, which will have the same effect. History shows this, & I don’t believe those in control here understand that.

The MSM will be co-opted even further then they are, & they need to be viewed as hostile to the American way of life. They are as much a part of what’s happened in the last 100 years of progressive American politics that has taken hold. Remember that in the future.

Finally, just remember that the dependent is more important then the provider. The “Obama-phone” lady, & the “Obama’s Stash” broads are the future of America. Not those of people who create jobs & along with them, a tax base that builds our country & allows it to prosper.

…now watch it happen. Oh, BTW, the GOP needs a complete overhaul. The moderate goalong to get along types that enjoy being able to socialize in DC, Manhattan, Cape Cod, & The Hamptons, need to be shown the door. They have given us Bush 41(who got elected ONLY because of Reagan)Dole, McCain, & now Romney. Screw them, there needs to be reform of a tea party style 3rd party will emerge. The old bulls & the “it’s their turn” types need
to go…NOW.

I agree. What just blows my mind is that the economy was the biggest issue (6 out of 10) and hells bells most blamed Bush for it. barry gets a pass. There’s truly no explaining ignorance.

the one good outcome here, barry can’t blame anyone for his next 4 years of failure. W will be but a distance memory. And barry has no plan, other than confiscation of rights, wealth, and freedom. And when the useful idiots realize we are north of 50% of the nation feeding on the 50% who is still working, and the money is gone, they will shit their collective pants.
furthermore, when all the unions, public employees and teachers realize that they ain’t getting those cushy pensions, cause they’ve dried up-ohhhhh the humanity.
I will laugh at them. I will say I told you so. And I will not help them fix their fuck up. They did this-they deserve the misery that will befall them for their ignorance and mob following.
If you have the means, leave the US-there are still some places on earth where you won’t be pushed around by a dictator. They are cheap, safe, and best of all, don’t have barry soetoro.
God help us all, and please god, if you are listening, let the takers who frauded this turd back into office realize your full and complete wrath!

Yet if you ask any of them what specifically did Bush do to ruin the economy, you will get no response. The talking points apparently don’t go that far.

Sorry Matthew. I think Bush will continue to take the fall for everything that Barry screws up. These uninformed voters are so brainwashed by the public schools and the pop culture media that they do not have the ability to actually think.

And think about this… by the time 2016 rolls around, the youngest voters would have already been in kindergarten when Bush was president. They will have known nothing but Bush and Obama. They have been taught and guided (subtly or overtly) that Bush is the devil, and barry is the savior.

WE need to take a page from the left’s book. WE need to infiltrate the schools. WE need to get our children back. I am going to start looking for a job in education policy & management, and I am going to do whatever I can to weed out the liberals. I may only hep a little, but we need to do this. If we can’t get the kids back, we are screwed forever!

Besides, with the financial stuff coming down the pike, I may need to work. My husband’s check will not be enough to support us no matter how frugal I am.

anuary 23, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A new analysis from the National Right to Life Committee’s (NCLC) education department estimates that since the infamous Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision in 1973, over 54.5 million American babies have died through abortion.

Dave Andrusko, the editor of National Right to Life News, said that the number is “so huge that we can’t really come to grips with it.”

“But what it means is that there are over 3,300 abortions every day—137 per hour–or about one dead baby every thirty seconds.”

wow, that’s a lot of rapes isn’t it?

did y’all know that rape-bortions and mom’s health bortions account for LESS than 1% of the total?
Did y’all know PlannedParenthood gets money for abortions?
Do y’all care?
I do. Necktie Party time.

also, anybody who gets an abortion needs to have their tubes cauterized to prevent further murders.

Yesterday, America as we know it – ended. We now have a Stage 4 case of the cancer called “liberalism”.

Two things – first, Republicans are notorious for “loving their enemy”. There is no risk in opposing conservative tenets because we don’t stand up and slap them in the face for destroying our country. While no Obama supporter is blameless, the group we can hurt the most is liberal Hispanics. And we should do so. I am for rounding up EVERY illegal alien and transporting them back to their home country within 48 hours of detention – and bill THEIR country for the transportation charges.

Secondly, although in the past I always thought this notion was quaint – I am now SERIOUSLY wanting Texas to look at the possibility of secession. And I mean it. Not just talk. Not just moaning and whining – let’s by God get the hell out of the cesspool that used to be the USA.

For the first time in my life, I am NOT proud of my country. Today, I am ashamed to be an American.

PS: If we can’t beat the most incompetent, worthless, arrogant, sorry jackass to ever slither across the floor of the Oval Office, we need to start another party.

Do you think they will now seriously investigate Bengazi with the media broadcasting a steady drumbeat of bipartisanship? All corruption will be papered over to go along to get along. This play nice with the enemy stuff is a perpetual loser and the policy of cowards. The dems are mean nasty liars and cheaters when it comes to politics. Any serious contender now will have to have the guts to get down in the gutter with these fiends and challenge them alike. Until the GOP starts to seriously challenge the dem cheating and propaganda they will be out of power.

You fucking idiot-you are a robot, and a fucking ignorant moron. If you really buy the lefty bullshit that you are spewing here-then you aren’t just a paulbot-you are a libtard plant.
As an economist, I can tell you 1000 ways Romney would have made things better-but for staters and to be simplistic in my approach to you, I will make this easy. Marxism has never worked-and you are about to have a first-hand, ringside seat to how it destroys nations. Cause yours, thanks to fart-knockers like you, is about to go that way.
Starting now, the street says the dollar is worth shit-so it will devalue to a point, where it will cost 100K for a loaf of bread(see Zimbabwe). Then, with the destruction of market capitalization of US based firms, the equities markets will totally tank, taking the pensions of all US firms, government employees, and Unions with them, as those pensions are mostly invested in equities. This will cause a total collapse of our economy, when that 47% of AMericans who are paid by the money that comes from a strong equities market, no longer get paid. Add to that, with the fortune 100 going defunct, there are a quick 20 milllion jobs lost in America. This will be a swift and total erosion of our monetary system…as we are not on the euro, drakmar, or fucking franc.
As this all happens, you will then learn how miserable it was to be an American in the late 1920′s. So, to pump it all back up, and when he is totally out of options, Mr Obama will lead us into a war, in a sad last-ditch effort to rally the country. But, alas, it won’t work this time, because at that moment, when he is trying to make a war, we will all be reminded of his unilateral disarming of the US’s last defense, our nuclear arms. And we are sitting ducks for putin and PRC.
We’re toast holmes. You should pick up some reading materials that aren’t lefty propaganda from Kos and other knobs who have no idea what drives our economy, and have no idea what a real world view is. They live in a vaccuum, where we all live in a hippie fucking commune and everything is roses and unicorns.
You are a total toolbag-and I so wish you were in the room with me right now. I would seriously give you a lesson. you would realize your folly quite quickly-I of course won’t give you that lesson here, as I would need to slap you in between points to make it set in. But rest assured, the equities markets die-so does every pension in this country. Abject poverty, violence and civil war follows-and we are weakend to the point of being an invasion target. Then and only then, will you moron paul-bots and blowbama followers realize the level of destruction you have caused. It will be irreversible and it will be permanent. You murdered America douchebag-and you should burn in hell for it.

I disagree. I’m certainly no fan of this jerk-off, but you assume he represents all us Libertarians. He don’t, he’s just an idiot troll on the internet. I don’t know why people bother with him honestly.

That being said, stop assuming Libertarians are Republicans. I thought the fight, yes the fight, against Romney would be easier than against Obama, so I voted for Romney, yet there was still a fight I would have to wage regardless of who won. Don’t blame Libertarians though because the Republican party nominated a candidate who sucked. I wanted to see Obama have a happy retirement as much as the next guy, but I don’t blame any Libertarian for not voting for Romney because LIBERTARIANS ARE NOT REPUBLICANS!!! You guys want us to vote for your candidates, but you chastise us, call us idiots, refuse to except ANY of our ideas, then blame us because YOUR candidate lost. I say to you what the Republican party has said to me countless times, SCREW YOU!

I’m not weak, but the Republican party is. Explain to me who the base of the Republican party is. Freedom loving Americans? I would say you’re delusional. Protect and defend the Constitution? Again delusional. The Republican party sucks, and it lost as it should.

Don’t think for a second this idiot represents Libertarians, he’s just a troll. You want to throw the gloves down, let’s go, I’m happy to do it. I respect every Libertarian who didn’t vote for Romney because they stood on principle and that’s something the Republican party does not do. The Republican party is nothing, it has no idea what it’s doing, has no idea what direction it should go in, and I’m frankly done with it. You say Libertarians are the reason for our current situation? NO, the Republicans are. Look in a mirror, stop blaming others, and stand on principles and values. What is the Republican party and what do they stand for? I have no idea! Clearly the American people had no idea either or Romney would have won!

What was that about the Constitution Mitt? I’m sorry, could you speak up? Oh, you only have a generic response and can’t talk candidly about the Constitution and individual freedom? I understand, it’s okay.

We could get along, but continue to chastise us, marginalize us, then blame us when YOUR party loses an election and it won’t happen.

If the Libertarian movement (Green Party or whatever) came up with quality candidates I would vote for one. However that is the problem, the libertarian movement fails to bring out quality candidates. Whenever I hear one that sounds half okay then he starts talking about how we need to get marijuana legalized and blah blah blah and I just turn him off. I need solutions to my wallet being depleted every month. Marijuana smoking is not going to help me and I need someone that ACTUALLY have done something with their time in Congress. Ron Paul hasn’t. He hasn’t in all this time really come up with legislation or laws that assist people with anything. He is a joke in TX, I still don’t know why he gets elected again and again.

It will also result in America being attacked by other countries who take her isolationist attitude for weakness. Witness WWII. And becauase we betrayed our allies to help defend them, they will not be the least bit intersted in helping us. How much do you think THAT will cost, in money, supplies, adn human life, not to mention our country’s economy. Agreed. Then again, I’m wrong on just about every political prediction. If I had to guess, a GOP governor will emerge to run in 2016. I believe that the chattering class is completely wrong about how the Party needs to change. Base turnout was weak and the message was garbled because of a poorly run campaign. A strong conservative message from a *real* conservative can and would win. The Doles, McCains, and the Romneys of the world are just Dem lites. The country will be in very bad fiscal/economic shape in 2016 if things do not change and the Dems will be eat their own during their primaries as no one will accept blame for the mess created on their watch.

Run Jeb.. i think people will be fascinated by how different he is from his brother, and that should mitigate any Bush fatique. Otherwise I agree with you, likely a strong GOP gov will win primary and get a shot at the general.

Paul Ryan will be a star, but risky to run VP candidates from losing tickets. Rubio & Rice (in any combo) would be a killer ticket… (I think Rubio’s in Iowa within a couple days). Fiscally conservative candidate without the Bush era neocons will be appealing to the middle. Turnout was certainly low on both ends this time, compared to 2008 & 2010, so it’ll be interesting to see 2014. Dems are busy processing the lesson of turnout from 2010, as that gave GOP advantage in redistricting wars (won’t be as much of an issue in 2020 as that’s a presidential year.. but they’ll want to see if they’ve learned their lesson in 2014 turnout)

“insofar as they seek personal liberty, without an iota of reference to personal moral responsibility.”

That is how I feel EXACTLY. I have spoken with those that (for example) want to end the “Prohibition” on marijuana. What happens when you smoke it, you get hungry and hankering for your favorite burger, get behind a car and kill others because you were seriously impaired? The answers I get are: *silence* or huffs and puffs or I am too puritinical and “don’t understand” or there is “no evidence” that marijuana TRULY impairs people and I am buying into the government dogma and some other stupid sh*t like that.

Seriously?

Sure they say well alcohol gets taxed and it is legal for people over 21 and people still drink drunk and what not… okay but they get and should get stiff penalties especially if they kill people so ARE YOU willing to be HEAVILY fined, penalized and/or enjailed if YOU decide to smoke and drive because it is legal to smoke it? *crickets* or I am just exaggerating or some other sh*t.

So that is the problem… they want the fun, but not the responsibilities. They want the priviledge but not share in the consequences whatever they may be. They care for themslves and what they want but if it affects others negatively or adversely then I am just exaggerating because it won’t and how do they know? Well they just do and they want the chance to be menaces to society and if it gets too bad then we can do some changes… well say that to the 10 year and her family who died on their way home while you couldn’t just get to the drive through fast enough after smoking your pot…

People that I talk to don’t understand that their mindset is dangerous and a lot of their priorities are whack and do nothing to ACTUALLY help the bottomline.

Despite evidence that marijuana is a health risk ( as much or ore than tobacco) and causes impairment, brain damage and chromosomal damage that passes on the the next generation and the next, and the next ad infinitum, people who need a crutch to function still demand their weed. I am not happy about alcohol either, but at least it can be consumed in moderate quantities without permanent damage.

To a person, everyone who is in favor of legalizing pot agrees that punishment for acting irresponsibly should be severe. There is NOTHING wrong with marijuana that alcohol doesn’t have twice as bad.

No, I don’t smoke dope, or anything else. I just see no reason that anyone should be in jail for what they do without hurting anyone.

Robert have you ever worked with people who have addictions? Or have you ever been to prisons where people are or were taking drugs? have you spoken with ex convicts who are or were taking drugs? have you seen human brains (the actual organ) from people who smoked marijuana and compared them to healthy human brains? Have you spoken to or heard parents of children who smoke marijuana? or children of parents that do? Have you seen the blood work of people that smoke it regularly?

The reason I am asking these is because I do believe it is essential to have factual and in your hands evidence of the problems of marijuana on human bodies and the effect on the brain and behavior. Listening to a parent who lost his child because the friend smoked pot and they went on a ride and crashed and killed the child… it is not something that you want to hear and sadly it is not just once ina blue moon thing either.

Yes.

Yes.

yes.
yes.
no. not a medico

the loss of a life due to an avoidable accident is terrible. I’ve seen brains splattered on a concrete creek bed, matter of fact I could find the place on a map, it was right near the trailer I lived in in River Oaks, Suburb of Ft. Worth. Those people that died, were old, coming back from grocery shopping, and the driver, so i was told, i was 8 or 9 at the time, was blinded by the sun. that’s all. of course on the road in front of our trailer about a mile or so west, there was a curve that had a telephone pole that dang near every weekend killed a drunk driver leaving the Massey’s dance hall, 2 blocks from where we lived. there were bullets that actually penetrated our trailer, that’s when we moved, fired by a drunk.
I’ve known a LOT of people who smoke pot, some i even smoked pot with, and my life experience, and every credible report I’ve seen tends to bear out the truth in Gen. 1:29 ff. and that is that weed is not dangerous, that it is what God called good, just as every other seed bearing herb of the field is good. even cocoa LEAVES. it’s the processing of these things that causes problems.
I’ve never known anyone to be addicted to weed. I know what addiction is. but no, I don’t know, haven’t conducted studies haven’t seen any empirical evidence for marijuana causing any deaths, by itself. True, not everyone is the same, and it’s possible that every now and then a person has difficulty processing certain natural things, regardless of what that thing might be, that nobody else has a problem with.
I’ve never EVER heard of anybody being violent while high. NEVER.
yet in spite of all my personal experiences, the experiences of literally tons of ppl, as well as medically, not pseudo-medically, but actual AMA studies, with empirical data, marijuana is still illegal, whilst beer, wine, and hard liquor get a pass. tobacco too.
anslinger lied to congress, and with the cronyism of dupont and hearst this natural, God-given, seed bearing herb was made illegal, because of racism, and fear of competition in industry. Some will argue, and have, that hemp won’t get you high and that’s why it was ok for Geo. Washington to grow it. that’s simply not true.
but if you have actual empirical evidence that pot is across the board poisonous, then i want to see it. Unlike oblivia’s opinion that people online can’t discuss and reason and change another’s opinion I have a mind that is able to look at proof, and change my stance on issues if i’m convinced. Sorry I had to bring her up, but I feel very strongly that you should know, and everyone else reading this novel, that I am not unable to control my opinions. :)

We are going to have to agree to disagree. The chemical compositon of marijuana is such that it is meant to be addictive, the problem with it is that unlike alcohol it can create addiction and dependancy on brains that may not necessarily be created with alcohol. I think that this really needs to be discussed amongst scientists that have years researching the chemical dependency of marijuana and the brain. I have seen brains on pot and the effects on the areas of the brain that create dependency I to me it is undeniable. In any case… I say that people will do it regardless of being legal or not. I just don’t think that making it legal will actually ameliorate my wallet. it only means more taxes for the government whic in the end is the most important aspect of this discussion (besides of course the social issues and the negative aspects on communities and the possible danger to society by those who are impared which are also PERSONALLY important to me).

as to sci-fi sci-fan Heilein might be prolific, but not great. (Hebert, Asimov Harry Harrison, Poul Anderson, Ursula K. Lequin, Anne McCaffrey are way so much better, in my considered opinion. also Robert Jordan esp Wheel of Time, (too bad he died before he could finish). Heck, Zelazney is better, so too Piers Anthony) and he does indeed have quite an imagination, i’d say somewhere along the lines of the imagination of the people of Noah’s day. It didn’t take me long to realize for myself that his stories were nothing less than the outpouring of a sick, perverted, skankmeister.

When the US gets that bad, and if we don’t rise up to fight the liberals – my family and I will be gone. I will fight if there is anything to fight for, but I am not going to sit here and wither away.

Considering the blows to the Catholic Church I have come to believe that the religious and political force spoken in Revelations can very easily be Islam. If someone manages to make the differences between Muslim sects and so on dissappear and succeed in uniting the Middle East again under one empire/kingdom/country under teh banner of Islam that will spell disaster for Israel obviously and also for us and the rest of the world. It will go back to the Ottoman Empire days with the evil beheadings and the crazy taxing of those that do not submit. If it is a person that used to be Catholic and turned Muslim I wouldn’t be suprised though.

well, there’s a false-prophet mentioned too, and, in my admittedly human opinion (by this I mean I don’t claim any type of prophetic knowledge, and even my understanding of the book of Revelations is elementary at best) there’s plenty of room for islam as part of the anti-’s one world governance.
The fact is I just do not know, but I trust in the One who does know.

I will say this, and I am unanimous in my opinion, barry is NOT the kind of human I want to be the nominal leader of the free world.
but, as someone once said (and here i’m paraphrasing cuz it’s been a long time since i looked into it) the thing about a democracy is that they will vote for the person they deserve.
and in this day of easy sex, gender confusion, gimme economics, baby-murdering, whore of hollywood adoring ppl, that’s pretty much right on target.

The people are going to get the government they deserve. Suffering must happen before people wake up to the realities. One thing that has been said many times in the past week is that once people are really suffering there will be cries for a good leader to truly come out and help. Interestingly enough in the Book of Isaiah such a scenerio is depicted however the leader refuses the mantle because the work to be done is too great and he knows he won’t be able to handle it. Of course the ultimate Governor will take up the mantle of government as also depicted in Isaiah. Now like you said not sure if we are THERE yet (where it gets so bad that no potentially good leader will even want to TRY to solve the problems, leaving people without a leader and primed for the anti christ before the Lord Jesus takes over), however, I wouldn’t be surprised if we are being primed to get to that point. Anything that takes us closer to the Lord Christ’s return I am open to, even if it hurts, but it will hurt. I agree that Obama is a terrible leader and as far as the US is concerned, there is blood in the water so I wouldn’t be surprised if forces are being put in order and organized to destroy and take over due to the US being weak.

Mary Baker Eddy was Christian. So Christian she believed that the power of prayer was enough to heal and that people didn’t need doctors. As a Christian and a nurse, I generally agree with her. If you eat properly, exercise, and get adequate sleep, combined with prayer, a great deal of the ails we suffer CAN be healed. We need doctors because we don’t eat right, don’t exercise, get exposed to God knows what in our diets and in the air, and we don’t pray nearly enough. And when we pray, we don’t always believe. So I have no issue with her take, just feel that she goes a little too far. Mormons, that’s a whole other story.

Islam in my humble… humble opinion is a religion, but it is based on lies and deceit. I can understand if people see the “good” in it and try to change it, but it is impossible because the religion is design to be in pure contrast with Judaism and Christianity while at the same time CLAIM to be a brother/sister religion which is completely false. I am going to be real and say that this religion was created by the Devil to be in contrast with G-d’s people. Now it is obvious that G-d allowed this and He even perhaps if I am reading it right predicted that it would exist (Genesis—Ishmael). It is what it is, but we need to realize that Islam is based on lies and deceit… it is not a religion of peace. It is a religion design to be at war with everyone ESPECIALLY G-d’s children. I am thinking Revelation right now with the dragon searching the woman (the church) to kill her and then makes war with her children. Again, I can understand people thinking the CC would change and become the church of the antichrist, but in my humble opinion Islam (so far) fits better with the model presented to us in the many eschatological books in the Bible.

I agree Rose that prayer even if it doesn’t lead to actual healing DOES do SOMETHING to the brain during an illness and before death not only to the person him or herself but also to those that actually pray for the one that is sick. Even outside of the love for G-d aspect (which is the most important thing), it is factually and scientifically true that prayer does help the brain and the body deal with diseases. However, I do think that if you are sick you should go to a healer/physician/doctor. I am sure that Jesus wouldn’t have bother with healers (being one Himself) if He didn’t want people to actually go to them (the good ones of course).

Robert never heard of that lady I must tell you the truth but the title alone lets me think that there is something a bit weird there.

While I don’t necessarily agree with them, there are lots of theologists who question the crucifixion as sacrificial atonement. And Ms. Eddy clearly was correct in that humans even Christian humans, still sin. The atonement from the crucifixion is referred to as the atonement presented at the end of times at the final judgement. I don’t think you can save yourself, but I do believe that we can do a better job of not sinning.

“but I do believe that we can do a better job of not sinning.” ABSOLUTELY
1 John 1:7

King James Version (KJV)

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

“The atonement from the crucifixion is referred to as the atonement presented at the end of times at the final judgement.”

http://bible.cc/romans/3-25.htm
please note, every translation of this verse uses atonement in the past tense, that is to say, a definite point in time that happened BEFORE the words were written by Paul. Therefore; it has to be when Jesus said “It is finished.” Remember, He is the Lamb, prepared before the creation of the world, the Atoning sacrifice. It is not some future happening for believers, rather the Day of Judgement will be, for believers, the verification, that they have been atoned for and that only by the blood of Jesus, and not by works lest any man should boast.

yes, we are to keep ourselves from sin as much as we’re able to, but being imperfect we will continue to sin yet God’s grace is sufficient to cover all our sins, even the one’s we haven’t committed yet.
Oh sister. the fact that mary baker eddy would suggest that we need more than Jesus is damnable
2 Peter 2:
1But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/False%20Religions/Christian%20Scientist/unchristian.htm
Christian Science Sentinel of December 22, 1934. On page 330
‘Christian Science is doing much to clarify the thoughts of men regarding the great Way-shower. Among other things, it is correcting THE FALLACY THAT JESUS IS GOD.’

I believe and think that this ought to be enough for any Christian to put far from them anything from mbe.

Robert, I like you and I am not going to get into a theological arguement with you. I told you I don’t agree with the notion that the crucifixion was not for atonement of sin. Paul mentions it again in I Corinthians, chaper mmmmm 2, I believe. I am merely stating that the original sayings from the Gospels were in Aramaic or a dialect of Aramaic. They were translated into Greek. I don’t read ancient Greek, but I know that there is some wiggle room in translation from Greek into English, and Latin as well. A perfect example, is the English word for love. We have one word to cover a number of emotional response identified as love: sexual love, family love, friendship love, I-love-peanut-butter-love. The Greeks had like 3 or 4 words that all translate into English as love. There are many such examples. Add to that the time period in which the writings occurred (Paul’s Letters are much older that the Gospels, for instance) the generally accepted use of the word may change. Andthe same word may evolve several differnet meanings. Its all above my pay grade. I believe Jesus was the Incarnate God, and I am in relationship with him. I try to live a life that reflects that relationship. He’ll take care of the rest. I don’t need to do HIS job; He does it far better than I could ever hope to.

The United States Of America passed away list night after a four year battle with stupidity. The United states fought the valiant fight but was overtaken by a lack of common sense and was unable to pull through.

The United States was the last in a long line of countries that stood for freedom and lived to the rip old age of 236 years.

During it’s lifetime the United States fought in two world wars and made the entire world safe at a frightening cost to itself. In it’s Later years the country was run by perverts, thieves and con men who did not provide the care the republic needed to succeed.

The United States was also attacked by several lesser known cave man countries who inflicted injuries that may be a contributing cause of death.

Fortunately the United States did not have to face a “death Panel” under the current administrations communist health care plan.

Funeral services are pending.

It started here on IHTM when Dean called me doc. (On a thread were hospitals and insurance claims etc were discussed) He called me doc based on my initials and medical knowledge. And many people here already were confused in thinking I was a male type person. Then Dean told a joke that involved some names of the seven dwarves. Then I got the avi of doc the dwarf which confused Robert who was relatively a newby at the time. Then dean called me “dear” in a post followed by “honey” in another (or it might have been honey then dear) that’s when Robert posted “Wait, you mean drb is a chick?” Then he started trying to guess my name and hilarity ensued until he finally guessed my first name. And I will admit I have never been so flattered as to know that someone was interested to know my name so much that he would go to so much trouble with such determination, and not give up until he got it, when I’m just a some stranger on the other end of a computer screen.

The bbq was more for the bottomless pit, I love the stuff, the Ramen was more for you to get off ‘hospital diner’ food, fast easy & portable.

Yeah for a short while posters here did address me as Dr.B…But I made it clear that I was neither a MD nor PhD and didn’t want anyone to think otherwise and that stopped. (I believe out of curtesy of my wishes.)

Gonna make sure I get it right, {_}3 do the last cup & go do your thing, they’ll be here later. Smack poppa if he misses ‘em, I “think” he eats like I do when he’s working.

Just remember, these are ‘fuel’, not cookin to impress for special occasions, to see somebody say, ” Oh my God, that is fantastic, how did you do that?”

BTW, the answer is …magic ;), have a goodn Doc!

Oh thank you for toppin’ off my cup…I actually have the day off today. Yay. I deserve it too cuz I worked the last 9 days straight.

Poppa has been ill, I’ve been fussin’ at him about that elsewhere. (He prolly thinks I’m a naggin’ ninny at this point)…But I’ll make sure he looks for ‘em.

Have a great one, talk atcha later.

Eagle is huge, now I’m afraid he’ll turn his nose up at my magic bbq bologna. :)

(not that I know you’ll do it, but there’s always the ‘guy’ way to cleaning, “If you can’t see it, it ain’t dirty.”)

Yeah, I know, I’m so proud of him.

No way he’d turn his nose up at it…he even eats frog legs! *shudder*

He even told me that I should get him some snails and I asked why. He said “cuz I haven’t had them yet” I told him he would hafta go to a fancy schmancy restaurant for that. (just like he did for the frog legs, no, I wasn’t with him when he ate the frog legs)

Alright…off I go, the houe won’t clean itself…I don’t have that kind of magic and daylight issa burnin’.

please do not EVER eat live snails, they’re deadly toxic.
some may think this notice unnecessary, those ppl obviously have never seen the show I did.
Fella decided to fix a fancy dinner for his gf to impress her, so he added live snails to the salad.
They both ended up in the hospital, nothing could be done. he passed moments before she did.

A consumer and his friend are in an automobile dealership browsing, when the consumer notices a snail creep into the showroom and make his slow, laborious way over to a salesman. Curious, the consumer unobtrusively sidles closer to the two to eavesdrop. The salesman says to snail: May I help you Mr. Snail?
Mr. S: Yes, I’d like to purchase a Lamborghini.
Salesman: Well we have a nice selection of vehicles to choose from, but they’re rather exotic cars. This one though (he said, walking over to one of the vehicles) is only $449,000.99
Mr. S: Oh that’s not a problem. I would however like to have a custom paint job. I want it Ebony, with a thousand White S’s on the body.
Salesman: (After entering some numbers into his handy-dandy pocket calculator) Well, that will bring the price to $549,000.98 plus tax, title and licensing.
The Snail pulls out a little bitty ol’ cell-phone and makes a call and within minutes an armored truck pulls up out front and one of the guards brings in two bags full of money and then leaves. The salesman is quite happy about this (as one may imagine) and asks Mr. Snail if he’d be able to take delivery the following week, to which the snail replied affirmatively, and left the Dealership. Well the consumer’s curiosity is piqued and he says to his friend: Friend, we have to come back next week and see what that snail is going to do. The week passes, and the consumer and his friend meet at the dealership as previously arranged. Soon the same snail creeps into the showroom again and the salesman greets him warmly and hands the snail the keys to the Ebony Lamborghini with a thousand White S’s on the body. The snail thanks the Salesman and thn purses his little snail lips and whistles and a huge mass of other snails creep into the showroom and into the car with Mr. Snail. The Salesman closes the door and the engine turns over and revs a couple times and then lays rubber before zooming out the Showroom doors and performing a power-slide to the left and tears down the street at a terrific rate of acceleration. The consumer, with eyes wide, turns and exclaims to his friend:

WOW, did you see that S car go?

It’s official, the recipient class now runs the country.
Shall we keep trying, or simply assimilate and become recipients also?
If we capitulate now, the revolution won’t take as long.

I was in the grocery store this evening, and the woman in front of me gleefully stated that she was paying with food stamps.
It made me wonder what happened to the days when people were embarrassed to let it be known that they used them.

That was before half the country was using them.

Would it make you feel better if she shoplifted? At least she wouldn’t be abusing your tax dollars as that seems to be all you care about.

Johnny Basement Food Stamps is just trying to justify his own greed. Living with mommy and daddy should disqualify him from getting food stamps.

Here’s the problem crowley, those with the EBT cards tend to be the most demanding assholes that you see in the grocery store. They also tend to buy the most expensive meat & seafood because they ain’t paying for nothing. Except their smokes, their booze, & their lottery tix. Oh, & it’s all colors, & races that do it. I work in the grocery industry & see it everyday I go into work.

Not everyone on foodstamps is a cheat. And not everyone on foodstamps are happy and proud about it. Those that are are nearly ALWAYS cheating. The eat the same cheap crap they have always eaten, use Food Stamps to buy high dollar items which they turn around and sell for cash. Or they use a little of the food stamp money for themselves, and sell the rest to another person, providing them with the appropriate password. You might feel differently about how tax dollars are used if you had a job and were actually paying taxes.

Once people are only accountable to the government and the government acts like a sugar daddy there will be no embarrassment.

I refuse to work for fools that can and won’t help themselves. I don’t mind charity and those that TRULY need my help or our help. I just don’t think it is appropriate for me to take on people that can help themselves and their families or create problems for themselves that could have been easily and economically avoided. I find that repellant. Many will and that will create EVEN more of a recipient class… mark my words.

Just wait until the employers start doing the same. I think it’s called “Going Gault”. You are already seing buisinesses doing it now, major job cuts at major companies, & it’s only starting.
