First the Democrats refuse to do anything to stop illegal aliens from flooding across the border. Now President Obama wants to kill a program that helps reimburse the states for jailing illegal aliens.
Don’t get us wrong. The funds were only to be used for jailing them for committing crimes other than crossing the border illegally.
The State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAPP) provides states with assistance to offset the costs of jailing illegal immigrants.
When he was in the senate, President Obama voted to give extra funding to SCAPP. Yet now Obama has decided to eliminate the same program he once voted for.
Obama says that killing SCAPP will save $400 million per year. In reality, it only transfers that burden to the states.
Obama may run into opposition in his own party on this one. Powerful California Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein strongly backs SCAPP. She is supported by elected officials from other states with illegal aliens problems.
Obama expects to overcome this minor inconvenience as soon as ACORN can register the 12 million illegal aliens currently living in the United States.

Gawd I hate having to be on Feinstein’s side! Maybe we can split the baby by just deporting the criminal illegals (what is the opposite of an oxymoron?) and then, novel idea, PATROL THE DAMN BORDERS and keep them in their own countries for their next set crimes.
The Demoncrats ability to sink even further into the abyss knows no equal in modern American history. The closest parallel I can think of is Stalinist Russia prior to WWII with its cult of personality being jammed down a war weary populations throat with the unabashed aid of what passed as the mainstream news outlets of that era.
Eight years of Bush set the stage for the rise of the annointed one, and now we are reaping what we have allowed to be sown. We have absolutely no business being in Iraq, in fact we should’ve completed the job we first started in Afghanistan. Saddam was a paper tiger, and so is Ahmadinejad. There’s nothing about those two that a few well placed neutron bombs wouldn’t cure.
Instead we subjected our military to years of playing footsie with an unseen enemy, overtaxing the brave men and women serving our nation with multiple useless tours of duty in a region that still hasn’t joined the 18th century, let alone the 21st!
It’s time to start acting like a great power, that is if Barry O doesn’t unilaterally disarm us first!
IHTM is partially wrong. It should read that “Obama expects to overcome this minor inconvenience as soon as ACORN can register 40 million future illegal aliens currently living in Mexico who haven’t been born yet.”
It’s easy to fix.
All states should simply ship all their illegals to DC.
