Wind turbines kill birds and bats, lots of them. Yet the “green community” remains remarkably silent on the issue, I suspect they’ve concluded that a few hundred thousand dead flying critters is part of the price of forcing the nation to adopt these useless, ugly, noisy killing machines. But it’s a lose/lose situation for the animal kingdom and the electricity using public.
I’m waiting for the Earth Liberation Front to dynamite a wind turbine or for PETA to block a wind turbine construction site.

All these birds and bats killed and wind is not even providing 1% of our power yet. What would happen if we got it up to 10 or 20%? We’d be up to our ears in feathers and guano. It would be an environmental disaster.
