Michael Mann's students will die of boredom long before global warming harms them

Michale Mann, professor of meteorology at Penn State University, was once famous as the orginator of the fraudulent global warming “hockey stick” graph. Now he’s even more famous as the originator of the ClimateGate emails.

We wondered what his students thought of him, so we went to RateMyProfessors.com to find out.

Based on these comments, Professor Mann, you might want to spend a little less time writing emails and a little more time writing lectures.

Let’s be generous and say the first three reviews were not kind:

SO BORING! he starts talking about one subject and babbles on until the class has no idea what he is talking about and neither does he. Loses his train of thought constantly. I passed the midterms because the TA retaught everything in the review session. If youre looking for an intro science class, dont take this, he assumes you know 400 level math

most boring class ever no enthusiasm to his own teaching and gets lost in every subject he’s discussing and forgets what he was talking about

This course is poorly designed and even more poorly taught. The majority of the class has zero stat experience (there are no prerequisites), yet Dr. Mann dives headfirst into 400-level stat by the third week with no concern of whether his students understand. He lectures to hear his own voice. A 25-point mid-term curve should raise a few red flags.

Mann also got one neutral comment:

Professor is tough but fair.

And, of course, one student raved about him:

Mike’s simply amazing, and he wrote the book on climate change!

Tough to argue with that one. Mann did, indeed, write the book. And the emails.

“Mann did, indeed, write the book. And the emails.” – Don’t forget the Data he contributed too. One stop shopping for echo-fabrication.

I am not allowed to read about myself on RateMyProf… and/or ratemyteacher. My husband can’t stand the ensuing fury. I am like the narrator in Tell Tale Heart – I foam, I rave, and I swear – Villains I shriek! Those d@#m students don’t know at good instructor when they see one.

In Mann’s case they are likely right though – sheepish grin from the can dish it out, but can’t take it section.

Mann should drive over to the Susquehanna and jump in-Period. He should relieve the American public of himself. If I was paying 40k a year for my kid to go to penn state-I would pull him/her out of class until the university fired or executed mann. he is a nozzle-and there is no way I would allow him around my kid!

So that’s what the beady eyed little bastard cue ball looks like.
(and I’m being kind) thanks for posting the picture – can some one generate a “wanted” poster? Looks like a lil’ wanker with soft hands who has never worked a day in his life. I hate the arrogant “I’m smarter than you “self-righteous types – am I being too harsh?

Michael Mann should come clean & apoligize for the fraud he & his co-conspiritors were trying/still trying to pull off. I don’t believe this will happen though. Since those involved seem to be dishonest at their very core, they care about power & control. They don’t care how they get there. The sooner these snake oil guys end up being punished for their attempted inernational criminal consriracy, the better.

That raving comment is just sarcasm. Can’t you see that? You have no sense of humor!
