Egyptians as role models: Radio radicals want Americans to rise up in revolution

by editor on February 10, 2011

Want to know why PBS and NPR need to be defunded? Just watch this video.

PBS’ Tavis Smiley and professional racemonger Cornel West hope the people of the United States will rise up and revolt just like those brave patriots in Egypt. In fact, they seem to hope they can inspire that revolt.

So the way we understand this Americans need to revolt because, you know, the Egyptians are oppressed and they’ve been ruled by an iron-fisted dictator for the last 30 years and so have we. Or something like that. We’re not quite sure how this squares with the Era of Enlightenment ushered in by Barack Obama, but surely that’s only because we’re not smart enough to understand these complex issues.

We suppose it’s possible that Smiley and West want a revolution just so they can throw a few punches at Anderson Cooper, but somehow we doubt that their motives are that pure.

He may be a loon, but plenty of people would go apesh!t if they saw his body work, & what he’s been paid by Ivy League schools to do whatever he does. I heard about this about 5-7 years back, & someone should follow up on him.

Appears that they have sent in the clowns of the looney left. What a bunch of fools. Hell if they wish to revolt, I say let them buy a plane ticket and head on over to Cario and join right in.

They would have to leave their cushy plush housing and all though.

Ignore the plight of the poor? Really Tavis you dipshit? Last I checked, the poor have their food bought for them, their medical paid for them, their homes rented for them-and lets not talk about the minimum wage that guarantees them more money than anyone in any other country as totally unskilled laborers-oh and then there are pell grants, and other largess from the taxpayers.
What effing country do these two retards live in?

Yup. I’m ready to “rise up” against the commies, the bankers and their government enablers and their MSM propaganda wing. Which TV station or “elite” university should I burn first?

I don’t think a lot of these 60s reliving douches really get it. this time THEY are the man. If the youth of this country ever wake up and realize their future was sold for mcmansions and free hand-outs who do they think the ire will be directed against?

Reminds me of the compared tax returns of Al Gore and Dick Cheney released during the 2000 presidential elections. It went something along the lines of how in the same year that Cheney contributed $11,000,000.00 to charity, Al Gore contributed $350.00

one last thing and I will shut up about this issue. Are these to obamaniacs going to attack barry for cutting energy assistance to the poor? Or is it only an issue when it suits their momentary opinions? http://www.nationaljournal.com/whitehouse/exclusive-obama-to-cut-energy-assistance-for-the-poor-20110209

Oh yeah-the right is dictatorial-all of our (tea party) rantings about the government having too much power, and being too big-that is really dictatorial. Who are you jackass? You are in the wrong place-you have your head up your ass completely- such that your shoulders are pressed against your buttocks.
Go read something other than the rantings of bill mahr, arianny puffington and then come back when you have a little education about who wants a dictatorship here-IDIOT!

I only had to listen to the first couple of sentences that came from the lips of these two clowns to know exactly where they stand on the issue of Egyptian ‘democracy.’ As long as they have no skin in this game other than their own gum flapping they’ll say and do anything that lefties do in situations like this and that’s add more CO2 to the atmospehre.

hisham,

Exactly. Tavis Smiley and Cornell West, revolutionary poseurs, it’s difficult to determine which is the bigger bullshit artist. Just two Marxist millionaires increasing their street cred by talking class struggle.

What those two fools fail to grasp is, that if there was a revolution in America right now it would be Conservatives rising up against libtard/prog/leaches and putting them paid to.

I can’t decide whether this is:

1. Simply 2 angry idiots conversing with one other.

2. A view into what’s going on in Barack Obama’s head.

Tavis and Cornel — the Shock Troops of Stupid.

Should be a good slogan for their radio show.

Tavis is a racist… Look at his eyes when he interviews a Caucasian. Then look at his eyes when he interviews a Negro. Two different, yet subtle expressions, one of hate, one of love.

If the people that have the resources to revolt actually decided to revolt then the people calling for such a revolt would be the first casualties of said revolt.

The resultant return to a Constitutionally limited federal government would not be the landscape they were hoping to see since they would lose their access to special treatment and subsidies.

Fortunately, for them, we do our revolting at the ballot box and as long as politicians leave office when they lose, the people calling for a revolt will not get what they are asking for.

Harry Reid didn’t. He just bussed in union thugs and fixed the vote.

Al Franken didn’t. He just fought it in the courts, recounting until he finally came out on top.

Lisa Murkowski didn’t. She ran as independent scum after her party repudiated her.

…and don’t even get me started on Chicago politics.
