Rasmussen Reports: Almost no one buys the theory that ObamaCare protesters are racists

September 17, 2009, 12:44 pm · 6 comments

it-doesnt-matter Uh-oh. Bad news for the Democrats. No one’s buying their bullshit story that anyone who opposes ObamaCare is a racist.

Rasmussen Reports, “Eighty-eight percent (88%) of Republicans reject the notion that most of the opponents are racist. So do 78% of voters not affiliated with either major party. However, just 39% of Democrats share that view. Twenty-two percent (22%) of those in the president’s party say that most of the opposition to his plan comes from racists, and another 39% are not sure.”

Got that? Even among devoted Democrats, only 22% believe opposition to ObamaCare is motivated by racism.

That sound you hear is another Democrat trial balloon going down in flames.

The “racist” tactic is surely showing signs of backfiring.

Its really amusing how Obama talked about an age of “post racial politics” a few months ago, but quickly play the race card when people disagree with their policies.

Is calling someone a racist being post-racial?

You are a racist if you do not like everything Obama does. It is now the democratic response to any thing that requires an answer. I did not hear the word racist with previous presidents. What is the defintion of a black person that did not agree with Bush? I would suppose it is a person that does not agree, a person that thinks differently. But because Obama is black, all those ignorant morons get to play the race game. I do not like Obama. I do not care if I am called a racist. That word does not shut me up. Obama is the most anti-american person I have seen. He is destroying America. He is making America unsafe. He is associated with scum. He apologizes to terrorist for America. He constantly spews lies from his mouth each time it is opened. I can not list one positive thing he has done since in office. He announces he is stoping the missile defense on the very day that Poland was attacked by Russia. He was good at campaigning- because all he knows how to do is community organize. He has no medical experience, but thinks he should be in control of it. He has no economic experience. No war experience. We have a president that is only experenced at rallying groups of people together. What will be left of America in three years.

The jig is up. The race card has lost its clout.

Several weeks ago, in a voice chat room, we were discussing Obama & health care. A few wackos came in and started calling us conservative folks racist & haters for our viewpoints. The room moderators gave them a good lecturing about how the race card just ain’t gonna work anymore, before they were kicked out.

It was very refreshing to see so many people stand up to being called that fearful word “racist” for a change, instead of backing down. We know who the real racists are these days….the ones who try to use the cry of Racism! to stop discussion, rather than actually debating it.

Funny. The exact opposite happened to me, although I didn’t get kicked out. I was just called “one of them.” Whether it referred to racism, or right-wing terrorist, I dunno. Not that it makes a difference, they’re synonyms.
