Rhode Island’s Blue Civil War. “Famed litigator David Boies [represented Gore in 2000 election fight] is taking a 96% pay cut to represent the state against recalcitrant public sector unions. … the internal contradictions of its [the Democrat Party's] governing agenda are already beginning to show. There is a Blue Civil War coming. It will cut deeply.” Elections are easy – governing is hard. Fore!

Rhode Island is unquestionably the worst named state in terms of what it is, & what it is NOT is an island. Total false advertising.

All kidding aside, RI might be the bluest sttae in the nation, & is under the total control of unions. Too many people there have never met an actual conservative, & they cannot relate. They have no reference point other then the standard issue Dem/union/big gov’t machine because that’s how it is there, & it will never change. Not in my lifetime anyway.

I met a clown from Rhode Island and all this person could do is quote stuff right out of the Communist Manifesto. Has the brain of a turnip.

That would explain the blue vs blue attack on the unions. Once the revolution is complete, they don’t need “counter revolutionary elements”, namely the unions, making trouble. Shut up and eat your gruel, comrade.

With the unions, they battle 2 things…

1.Non union labor

2.Employers

…in that order.

I like to quote the Communist Manifesto also. It helps to illustrate the absurdity of liberalism.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t this the ***state*** that has an avowed COMMUNIST as a senator? What a bunch of idiots.

Hey, RI, show us all how everything is so much better up there under blue rule! What a bunch of total scumbags. The residents of this state should just secede, it is obvious they have no intelligence.

Frankly, I don’t consider RI to be even part of the US. They act as if they live in another country anyway. The residents of this stupid state have proved over and over that they are head in the sand total morons.

Bunch of lib p*ssies!

You’re thinking of Bernie Sanders of Vermont. He’s an Independent who caucuses with the Democrats. He openly describes himself as a Socialist and is in the news today insisting that there be no entitlement cuts whatsoever in a fiscal cliff bill.

One of my lib friends on FB lives in Vermont, and I swear she’s got a mess on her chin from Bernie.

I say let’s give them all swords or pistols and let ‘em have it out. Winner takes all.

Take everyone from RI, ship them to Ca, and cut them loose.

Blame the union contrators that work the project.

The state isn’t responsible for the interstates.
It is a federal highway program, so it is the fed that is doing perpetual construction. Have you ever tried to go south on 95 from DC? They have been doing construction there for as long as I can remember.

On all the government contract jobs that I’ve worked on over the years, and they were all for union contractors, it was the state or the feds that caused all the cost overruns, and not sticking to the projected schedule. The contractor has a date set in it for completion, and is paid a set amount. Every time the contracting agency changes it’s mind, and writes a change order, more money is paid to the contractor, and the completion date is moved back.

Look at the new eastern span of the SF-Oaklandistan Bay Bridge. The whole bridge (both spans) took about 4.5 years and the Golden Gate took about 3.5 years. This is in the 1930′s with 1930′s technology, which is evidently superior. The new span will be about 12 -13 years before it’s done and it’s billions over budget. They could have reinforced the old span for less than a billion.
