Robert Gibbs: A vote for Scott Brown was a vote for Barack Obama

January 26, 2010, 1:00 am · 13 comments

Ladies and gentlemen, we proudly present one minute and twenty-five seconds of lunacy.

Chris Wallace was as incredulous as you’ll be when you hear White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs try to spin Massachusetts’ election of Scott Brown.

Has there ever been a White House press secretary as smarmy as this guy?

George Stephanopoulos was more smarmy AND he gave off a huge weasel vibe like someone who you wouldn’t leave your drink around at a party in case date rape drugs were dropped in.

Gibbs can afford to be smarmy when he has 90% of the media covering his gaffes.

Man, talk about passive/agressive talking points, wow. Poor old Gibbs should have stuck to soccer, he played goal at NC State back in the day. He had to better in goal then he is as Obama’s mouthpiece.

This guy used to make me sick. Now I can’t get enough of him.
Remember Baghdad Bob….
Actual Quotes From the Iraqi Information Minister
(aka ‘Baghdad Bob’)

“There are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never!”

“My feelings – as usual – we will slaughter them all”

“Our initial assessment is that they will all die”

‘We have destroyed 2 tanks, fighter planes, 2 helicopters and their shovels – We have driven them back.”

“No I am not scared and neither should you be!”

“We have them surrounded in their tanks”

“Washington has thrown their soldiers on the fire”

“They’re not even [within] 100 miles [of Baghdad]. They are not in any place. They hold no place in Iraq. This is an illusion … they are trying to sell to the others an illusion.”

Baghdad Bob lives again as the press secretary. My week is looking up !!!

I see, so in the future when I vote against Obungler it will be a vote for him-he will perhaps learn something from it and become a better Christian. I mean person.

Well based on Gibbs’ logic, I guess it’s safe to say THOSE 20 Votes fraudulently cast by MSNBC’s Ed Schultz went to Scott Brown :-)

Boy was I ever in a fog. Last week I thought Dear Leader went to campaign for Coakley (the woman who lost to Brown for those of you with short memories), but now I clearly see that he was there on behalf of Brown.

Uhm now considering that Scott Brown seems to be more of a progressive republican and is into spending perhaps Gibbs wasn’t that far off.

My hat is off to Ken. He is right, it is Baghdad Bob reincarnated with better English.
