The top photo is the famous one taken of Sasquatch by Roger Patterson in the wilds of Northern California in 1967.
Now we have photographic evidence that Sasquatch has migrated across the country. The bottom photo was snapped this weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, North Carolina.
Oh, wait. This news just in.
Turns out the bottom photo is of Michelle Obama, not Sasquatch. But c’mon, man, anybody could have made the same mistake. Same size. Same shape. Same stride.
Sasquatch would have needed less retouching to be on the cover of this month’s Good Housekeeping, but other than that it’s pretty damn tough to tell the difference.

There are many, many black bears just out of hibernation in those there hills. That said, the 9mm’s that those SS guys carry are no match for a bear who just woke up from a 5 month long nap and is really, really hungry.
Talk about missed opportunity!

I once worked on a project in the mountains, building access roads for a dam. The Army Corps inspector saw that I was having to deal with a bear once in a while as I scouted around working with the surveyor’s stakes. He knew I had a Glock 17, and suggested that maybe I should carry it on the job. Right. Bears aren’t bad enough, I need to piss them off? No, I just kept an eye out for them, gave them plenty of room, and we got along fine.
