CNBC looks at ten stupid projects funded by the Obama administration’s $787 billion stimulus bill.
We can’t decide if this is hilarious or depressing. Possibly both.

I love it. CNBC is so bad at getting real news and real facts that they have to go to the “Senate Republican Communications Center” to get the correct information. Then the reporter tells the audience several time that the facts are from the “SRCC” as though it is not a reliable source. So if she thinks that they are not reliable, why is she using them? Why don’t they go out and do their own investigation? I’m surprised that they even carried the story.
Good catch. I hadn’t even thought of that.
I gotta agree with Dan. Every citation was prefaced with a disclaimer that the information was from Republicans. WTF? Was the information correct, or wasn’t it? All of it sounded like the usual pork-barrel nonsense we’re used to. But she made it sound like the Republicans just made the story up.
Why doesn’t CNBC just do the damned legwork and find out what the money was spent on? What’s next? I’m gonna turn on The Weather Channel and hear “Republicans have reported a tornado on the ground in Wichita! So if you’re a Republican, take shelter. If you’re a Democrat, it’s great day to do some lawn work.”
