President Obama puckers up and prepares to kiss his presidency goodbye
Hell hath frozen over. The leftist Huffington Post is starting to sound absolutely conservative in its criticism of The One. They’ve opened their eyes. They’re seeing the Obama the rest of us have been seeing for a couple years.
Huffpo writer Drew Weston said:
Consider the president’s leadership style, which has now become clear: deliver a moving speech, move on, and when push comes to shove, leave it to others to decide what to do if there’s a conflict, because if there’s a conflict, he doesn’t want to be anywhere near it…
Like most Americans I talk to, when I see the president on television, I now change the channel the same way I did with Bush. With Bush, I couldn’t stand his speeches because I knew he meant what he said. I knew he was going to follow through with one ignorant, dangerous, or misguided policy after another. With Obama, I can’t stand them because I realize he doesn’t mean what he says — or if he does, he just doesn’t have the fire in his belly to follow through. He can’t seem to muster the passion to fight for any of what he believes in, whatever that is. He’d make a great queen — his ceremonial addresses are magnificent — but he prefers to fly Air Force One at 60,000 feet and ’stay above the fray.’…
I don’t honestly know what this president believes. But I believe if he doesn’t figure it out soon, start enunciating it, and start fighting for it, he’s not only going to give American families hungry for security a series of half-loaves where they could have had full ones, but he’s going to set back the Democratic Party and the progressive movement by decades, because the average American is coming to believe that what they’re seeing right now is ‘liberalism,’ and they don’t like what they see. I don’t, either.
Welcome aboard, HuffPo. Better late than never.

That is a charlatanesque ploy I am afraid. Like Matthews, Olberman, and Maddow, this guy still wants to throw barry the bone….something’s rotten in the state of denmark…….

Wow…Huffpo is disappointed in the one, only not for the reasons the rest of us are. By all means president chumpa** set liberalism back a few decades, we could all us a little more real America and a lot less liberal BS.
I went through the comments at the HuffPo… the infighting was delicious.
They are beginning to say things that we said over two years ago: empty suit, he actively seeks to appeal to the common denominator, great speaker but no backbone, needs to stick to the teleprompter, etc.
If they keep this up no one will be voting Democrat in 2010 and 2012. Unfortunately this might lead the GOP to put forward crappy candidates.
You forgot the worst thing about the PuffPost: they are the biggest blog in the country, but don’t pay anyone! Isn’t that called socialism, or being cheap, or something?
This is really not a suprise. I kind of expected it actually, & before anyone goes, HUH? Let me just remind people that the last time we had this big of a leftist dope in The Over Office was Jimmy Carter. His biggest problem domestically? The hard left, he was challenged in a primary by Ted Kennedy just 11 years after he killed Mary Jo Kopechne at Chappaquiddick. Think about that, Carter sucked so bad that Kennedy saw a chance to unseat a sitting president for the Democratic nomintion. The hard left does’nt think Obama is liberal enough for them, & they will cause trouble until the voters decide to take action & clean up the mess being made.
