Tom Tancredo’s back. The former Republican rep from Colorado raised the hackles of the left when he spoke at the National Tea Party Convention this week.
Tancredo: “Mostly because I think we do not have a civics literacy test before people can vote in the country, people who could not even spell the word, “vote,” or say it in English, put a committed, socialist ideologue in the White House. The name is Barack Hussein Obama.”
Of course, the left is howling that Tancredo’s comment is raaaaaacist because it evokes images of literacy tests in the old South. And, of course, any criticism of Barack Hussein Obama is raaaaaacist.
But to us it brings up images people swooning at campaign rallies and saying that Obama was going to pay their bills.
If not illiterate, completely irredeemably ignorant.

Hmmm, having to pass a literacy test certainly would put the 26% hard core Republicans at risk to vote. That is the group of followers, and they need a Limpballs, or Beck, or Tancredo or other non-thinker to guide them. But lumping all of the Independents into that group seems to alienate the block of voters who have the power to turn elections from left to right or right to left. We do need the Independents and slurring them doesn’t help the cause, now, does it? Think before you write such crappola.
Tebow? Well mama’s boy may have a tough time baby talking his way through the NFL, if he gets the chance. And, not all of the players on his team will be of the Christian disciple persuasion, either. He should go back to the drawing boards or just go and be a missionary.
So what does it matter if “not all of the players on his team will be of the Christian persuasion”? That should make no difference whatsoever, as there are numerous faiths practiced by NFL players, so you saying that he should “go and be a missionary” sounds very intolerant…of course I guess THAT kind of intolerance is OK with the left.
Way back before the PC BS, in the late 70’s early 80’s, the Seattle Seahawks had a couple of Christian guys that we unabashedly proud of their faith and were nicknamed The God Squad…QB Jim Zorn and wide receiver Steve Largent (and I think one or two more). Only a few weeks into the ‘82 NFL strike, they withdrew from the strike, citing their religious differences and that “your word is your bond”. It got a lot of press, but most people respected their reasons.
Personally, if more people honored their word, the world would be a better place.
I disagree somewhat. Most of the people that voted for him fell for the hope and change crap. They believed it meant something OTHER than what it really meant and the MSM was a reason a lot of people were ignorant of him and his ways and his pals before they voted for him. People knowing how to spell v-o-t-e or speak English properly wouldn’t have stopped his election. After all a great deal of elitists, academics and so on voted for the guy.
Although I got to say that people who voted for Obama cannot be fully forgiven for their lack of knowledge because in many cases, in my opinion, it felt as if they WANTED to believe what he had to say and turned their backs to whatever truths about him came out. Also a lot of people voted on ideals instead of reason, but that doesn’t mean they were stupid or ignorant either.
I feel that instead of alienating people and calling them ignorant fools LIKE THE LEFT DOES the best thing to do is to incorporate the great deal of NON ideological/Progressive/Socialist Obama voters with the truth and with reality and common sense. Respect the fact that they as humans made a terrible mistake and show them the facts and those that are not completely idealistic kool aid drinkers will see the truth and help with the changes that need to be done.
Calling most of the Obama voters names and disrespecting them as the gentleman above I think tried to say when THOSE people can help make the effective changes that we need to save this country is a bad strategy. I believe that not all Obama voters are idiots, stupid, ignorant, ideological, socialists, liberals nor progressive. I think that a lot of these voters genuinely believed that he would do what he said and they were tired of the war(s) and were looking for a change. They were deceived. I feel bad for them really. So shine the light and welcome them in once they realize the truth I say.
So Gondorino, do you have anything of actual substance to write or are you just a one-and-done liberal troll like I see on all the blogs recently? I swear it’s like you people are getting paid to cruise the web and type liberal drivel, aka substandard talking points and tired ad hominem attacks.
