Too much education makes people economically dumb. “In the wake of the election, I’ve heard five Obama supporters — all of whom also voted for all the California Democrats and for all the California taxes — complain that their taxes are going up next year.” Or consider the graphic below, showing how the “best educated” states are all blue Obama states while the “worst educated” are red Romney states. Not coincidentally, these smart blue states are almost all broke.

I know, I got my nearly useless commuter college BA of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of South Florida, way back in 1978. Am I considered one of the smart ones, or dumb ones? I’ve never really been able to turn my sheepskin into a money maker…wrong side of the political spectrum. And I may be skewing the data because I haven’t picked a state and lived there for more than a few years before I’ve moved on. Twenty two plus years active duty gave me itchy feet…sorry.

No, it’s not economic ignorance. It’s that they don’t want anyone to get into their elite little circle. Look at Bill Gates. Now that he’s a billionaire, he’s doing everything he can to make sure there are no other billionaires coming up behind him. In fact, he even wants to stop humans from being born.

You’ll also see that sort of thinking in the limousine libs in Tinseltown. Do you think Brad Pitt wants you to become a successful actor? Nope. He wants you standing behind the police barricade taking pictures of him as he strolls the red carpet.

Educated Idiots! Lets change one word – shifts the perspective.
Educated = Programmed.
Changes from – “best educated” states are all blue Obama states while the “worst educated” are red Romney states.
To – “best programmed” states are all blue Obama states while the “worst programmed” are red Romney states.
Reads better now!
Education and Intelligence have very ‘little to do’ with each other.

Well, not to sound like a blue state elitist or anything, but I would like to think my schools here in Mass. DO give a better education than West Virginny or Mississpissy.

Still, I’m sometimes dismayed when I ask my kids something or refer to some part of ‘Merrcan history and they’re all “Huh?” And they go to a charter school!

You don’t sound like a ‘blue state elitist’, just a concerned parent.
Intelligence ‘vs’ programming.
Have you read any thing by John Taylor Gatto? I haven’t read all of his writings, however what I have read, I like. I think he explains the modern education system very well. Here’s a link to his site.

FTA: Not so fast…Here’s a news flash: In fact, as education level increases, tendency to vote for President Obama decreases until you get to the postgraduate level. This is largely unsurprising when you consider that one of President Obama’s major supporter groups – teachers’ unions – consists almost entirely of members who have some sort of postgraduate education.

College does not equal educated. Intelligence does not come with a piece of paper. Most of what I learned in college was not in anyway inspiring and very few have the capacity to put it all together into the big picture.

I was intelligent before I went to college. I was subjected to a lot of indoctrination while in college that was up to me which way I took it and used it but for the majority of students will admit they do what they need to and appease the professors to make the grade.

I maintain that the more college a person gets the more indoctrinated that person is.

I would have to agree with you. I dropped out of college for just that reason. I was tired of hearing my professors politically slanted opinions instead of facts.
I completed the technology and math parts of my degree, but decided to quit when all I had left to complete was the history, english, etc, courses, where the indoctrination is predominant.

The Association of College Trustees and Alumni has demonstrated that the average American college senior cannot pass a basic test of American history. Hence, it is a fundamental mistake to assume that a college degree denotes education. Colleges today do not educate anybody, if they ever did. They merely offer courses and award degrees, but they don’t educate people.

I don’t know. I think John is kinda like the fabled perpetual motion machine. There is even more garbage coming out than is going in!

True, about the garbage. However, he is also a prime example of shitty ‘coding’, produces extraneous data ‘out’, with no/minimal data ‘in’. He’s stuck in a ‘tight loop’!

Notice that Nevada is the only blue state in the righthand list. That’s because the people of Nevada are basically conservative but the election fraud around Vegas is so extreme they end up looking like they favor Harry Reid and Barack Obama.

There’s a look people get when they’re told the little cookies they were snacking on were a gift for the puppy. And that it isn’t a joke.
