Hostess should look into Bismarck, North Dakota. They’ve the incentives and infrastructure and shipping capabilities in that small metro. On top of that, 9 months of the year, nature would provide the refrigeration Hostess needs.
Prediction: leftist do-gooders and nanny-staters are going to start crowing about what an unintended victory the unions brought about for the general public by this strike – the closing down of an industry giant whose goods were slowly killing us.

Thank you Unions! So are the Unions happy that they bankrupted a perceived enemy? Even at the cost of all employees now without work? Are they happy that the owners are going to get some cash money and now going elsewhere to live their lives or else perhaps (or in addition) start another business in non union places? Uhm? Are they happy?
I don’t understand maybe I am just too naive… what is the purpose of being wrong and strong? That is to say, they would rather strike in order to play chicken with the company instead of arbitrating and working with the company for the improvement of everyone’s lives? Maybe the Unions are the ones who are naive. Did they TRULY expect Hostess to say oh okay let me give you everything you want? Did they truly thought Hostess was making up the whole bankrupcty thing? Did they thought Hostess was lying or were pressing hollow ultimatums? Because if they really thought that HOstess had the money and that they were lying and that the ultimatums were hollow I guess I can understand why they didn’t care to mess with people’s jobs the way they did. I just… I can’t understand why people are so selfish like this.

My son belongs to the steamfitter’s union, he and his co-workers have been unemployed 50% of the time in the past four years, yet the well paid union bosses kept telling the rank and file to support Obama and the Democrats.

Wow you are right. Something that hasn’t been fully discussed in the media is the destruction of decades old companies. Now perhaps it is true that in many cases it is due to lack of updating of their business models, however when companies that lasted 40 or 50 years go bye bye one after the next it is just not a good thing. People need tow ake up.

Hostess’ truck fleet, the over-the-road trucks, has got to be over 30 years old. They’re special ordered, to handle huge volume, that doesn’t weigh much. And I don’t remember seeing any new ones. Old Freightliner cab-overs. So I know they didn’t spend all their money on that.
As for their products, I don’t remember ever having been a fan.

True. Many companies like Kodak and Blockbuster just didnt keep up with the times, however the truth of the matter is that not only those but other companies have fallen on the wayside more than not because of Unions and a great number of them under Obama. It has become a trend and it is not a good thing.
