In our never-ending search for the silver lining, we’ve discovered a positive side to the high unemployment that’s plaguing the nation – illegal aliens are returning to Mexico in record numbers.
Illegal aliens are now going in the opposite direction
The Sacramento Bee has the story:
Mexico’s unemployment rate is now 4.9 percent, compared with 9.4 percent joblessness in the United States.
An estimated 300,000 undocumented immigrants have left California since 2008, though the remaining 2.6 million still make up 7 percent of the population and 9 percent of the labor force, according to the Public Policy Institute of California.
… The best-paid jobs for undocumented migrants are in the building industry, “and because of the severe crisis in the construction business here, their first response has been to move into the service industry,” González Gutiérrez said. “But that has its limits. Then, they move to other areas in the U.S. to find better jobs — or back to Mexico.”
If this trend continues, how long will it be before Americans start sneaking across the border in search of jobs in Mexico?

But, but, but,…………I thought that illegals were only doing the jobs Americans wouldn’t do, like picking lettuce and cleaning toilets. Nonsense, and I’ve been saying it all along. Once the people that operate heavy equipment finish building the place to put the house, the illegals take over and build the house. That’s why houses built in the last 30 years or so are built so badly.

Hey now I clean three toilets three times a week for no pay…. stay at home mom. At least they are getting paid. The wetback house down the street will soon have 21 people living in 800 square feet.. the 17 yr old is pregnant with her third anchor baby! And they just bought a brand new expedition, we drive 10 and 11 yr old paid off vehicles and they can buy a new one.. medicare, free school supplies, coats and no taxes… Still waiting for ICE to drop in and check on them hasn’t happened yet even though we all call them at least once a month.

It’s gonna take more than 300,000 or so illegals to leave Kalifornia before I will ever go back! The remaining 2.6 million and the commies that run the state will have to leave as well!

I wonder if they have to sneak back to Mexico? Now that they’re in the USA, they might be considered illegal aliens in Mexico, and be turned away at the border!

Oh, I wasn’t going to do it, I’m just sayin’. You should have seen the Border Patrol watching us like hawks when we were backing our tanker trucks up to the border on I-5 a couple months ago. If anyone snuck into that tank before we filled it with concrete slurry, they would definitely earn the name wetback.
