No joke: United Nations approves killing gays

by editor on November 30, 2010

If there’s anyone – anyone – who still believes the United Nations still plays any positive role in the world, this story should dissuade them of that fantasy.

iran gay execution

How Iran defines the term "gay swingers"

The Huffington Post has the details, so let’s not have any of that “This is just another crazy conservative conspiracy” talk:

Last week, the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly voted on a special resolution addressing extrajudicial, arbitrary and summary executions. The resolution affirms the duties of member countries to protect the right to life of all people with a special emphasis on a call to investigate killings based on discriminatory grounds. The resolution highlights particular groups historically subject to executions including street children, human rights defenders, members of ethnic, religious, and linguistic minority communities, and, for the past 10 years, the resolution has included sexual orientation as a basis on which some individuals are targeted for death.

The tiny West African nation of Benin (on behalf of the UN’s African Group) proposed an amendment to strike sexual minorities from the resolution. The amendment was adopted with 79 votes in favor, 70 against, 17 abstentions and 26 absent …

All the usual suspects voted for the right to kill gays: Muslim nations (Afghanistan, Algeria, Iran, Egypt, Eritrea, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, Sudan, Yemen), an assortment of well-known human rights violators (China, Congo, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Vietnam and Zimbabwe), and an assortment of nations with surprisingly harsh anti-gay laws (Bahamas, Belize, Jamaica, Grenada, Guyana, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and South Africa).

None of them, apparently, believe the persecution and execution of gays is important enough to condemn or investigate.

Screw the United Nations. And I think you know where.

Is that breakout actually from the Huffington Post? If so, it illustrates exactly what is wrong with Liberals and Leftists. They can’t come right out and say what is happening.

It’s okay to kill GAYS in those countries. That would wipe out a bunch of Hollywood, no?

They hide behind a facade of mumbo-jumbo and large words. It’s like the kid in the 80s who tried to prove how smart he was the first month away at university….He’d always turn the conversation to …. “blah blah blah nuclear proliferation … blah blah blah…

Once again the United Nations proves its utter worthlessness. It’s time for the United States and other democracies* to quit it and form a new organization that is truly committed to freedom, sanity and economic progress.

*United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Costa Rica, Israel, etc. No, they’re no perfect but their not Zimbabwe, North Korea, Iran or Cuba.

I guess this insures Obama’s Kenyan cousin Odinga being the next head of the U.N.

Regardless of how people feel about gays and their lifestyle, I’d like to think that by far, the VAST majority of Americans condemn the killing of gays no matter what their nationality (Westboro Baptist Cult Cretins excluded from said majority). That picture of Iran hanging those teenage boys is especially heartbreaking.

If this can’t convince people that the UN has got to go, I don’t know what will…then we are doomed to have this corrupt organization on our land, creating havoc and idiocy around the globe, with our permission. Of course, our oh-so-intellectual politicians will never kick the UN to the curb.

As opposed to the 2 in the photo who actually did die…for being gay. The UN does nothing more then legitimize depotism & the worthless sh!t cultures that they rule over. Exicuting gays for being gay is stupid, & US support for the UN is also stupid.

I was originally going to post some rather poor-taste remark about Bwarney Fwank, but instead, it got me thinking. Is there anything that the UN does for anybody (nor counting corruptocrats) that is good?

Heck yeah,

They make a lot of mob-type despots very, very, very wealthy.

And they help some of the “peace-keepers” get their jollies by making it possible for them to rape poor young African girls.

Afro Caribbean countries tend to be very ANTI-GAY that is due to machismo. If there were any Latin American countries I am not surprised either and I see Belize and I wouldn’t be surprised if there are others. Those who abstain just tell me that they just didn’t want to deal with it, however of course Muslim countries with their Sharia law and such are not a surprise. Now if people still think the UN still has a purpose for good in the world they are idiots. The murder of human life is not acceptable. Most of these countries (in the Arab and Muslim worlds) also kill people when they convert out of Islam or persecute Christians and Jews so any declaration to the opposite is a lie. Disgusting.
