‘We are living like animals’: Sandy victims hit out after being forced to spend 12 days without power. Well, what do you expect? Obama has been re-elected and doesn’t need any photo-ops now. In fact, he played golf today while you suffer. NY and NJ didn’t vote for Romney and now want everyone to feel sorry for them while they wallow in their own excrement.

This wont be in the news that Obama is relaxing and taking it easy. This is Obama’s Katrina and no one is talking about it. I don’t understand it.

Called mainstream media. If GW Bush was still president and this happened they be all over it like flies on poop.

Eating out of a dumpster and getting into fights at the gas pump doesn’t make for good photos ops for the plastic president. He probably spent part of the day looking in the mirror and admiring himself.

Well, he sure as hell wasn’t going to sit around and stare at the First Klingon/Wookie/Bovine!

I know I read it somewhere, was it here about them having to take down all the mirrors in the West Wing? Know I read it, could have been Onionish but that doesn’t feel right.

Chairman O spent two whole hours there. Took time out of HIS busy schedule just to commiserate with the people about this disaster. Why are the peasants complaining?

It was enough to get him reelected. I really just don’t know who to be disgusted over:

the administration? kind of, except they are cheats and frauds and we have known it all the time

the voters? They are stupid, but they have been dumbed down by the system. They have been weaned on the concepts of low expectations and rage against the whiteys who hold them down

The GOP? Yes – they let this election be stolen. In spite of the stupidity of the voters, Romney could have won, but the GOP did nothing, NOTHING to stop the rampant voter fraud. Many people are shocked and surprised to see the fraud, but it was EXACTLY the same in 2008. And the GOP waited to long to even try and address it.

The media? Most of all. THEY are supposed to make sure that the people are protected. They are supposed to dig up dirt on EVERYONE. Go ahead and slap a conservative, so long as you are slapping liberals as well. Instead, they have taken their privileges and turned it against the people. They have been bathed in the ideas of socialism and liberalism, and they have learned that their DUTY is to protect their liberal beliefs. They are as fanatical as the most radical muslim, but without a towel on their head.

I am sick of it. Truly disgusted with what we have become. We are becoming a 3rd world nation, as many of our own people seem to think we deserve. I will keep fighting as long as I am here, but that won’t be much longer. As soon as my husband has his doctorate, we are out of here. My family comes first.

Karmaa:”voter fraud”

I think the Republicans are afraid to speak about fraud because they’re afraid they’ll be called racists who are trying to hold down the votes of black and brown people. But what do they have to lose?! They’re going to get nasty treatment from the Democrats and the media anyways.

Hurricane Sandy makes me think I’m not adequately prepared to live off the grid. I’m thinking about ordering a sample from the ready-prepared meal makers who advertise on Laura Ingraham. What will Americans do if and when the trucks can’t get to the supermarket?

I have been researching some pretty nifty dried food packages that are supposed to last 25+ years. Probably longer than I would need them.

Actually, I would suggest a food dehydrator and a vacuum bag/sealing system to supplement your “store bought” dried goods.
You can make GREAT jerky, dried fruit, etc. And, unlike smoked meats, it can be re-hydrated.

Throw in some rice, dried veggies, and meat, seal the bag and you have a meal ready to cook. My folks also put solar panels on their house. They live in FL, and the panels will supply enough power for the fridge and stove. Between that, the gas BBQ and the pool in the back yard, they would be good for a long time in the event of an emergency.
Being prepared is NEVER a bad idea.

solar oven might be better than gas.
and we all know kingsford better than gas too, in spite of hank hill’s incessant nattering. ;)

Not a peep from the media about how “Dear Leader” went on a trip to Asia (To meet up with Soros I’m willing to bet) while these people are suffering in the cold. Then when the lazy turd comes back, does he do anything?, nope he went golfing. I bet the Wookie goes on another multimillion dollar vacation before these people get power back.

Boo hoo and waaa waaa waaa. I don’t want to hear it, I don’t care. The fools living in the dump elected Nanny Bloomers, most of them probably voted for the Obummer. As far as I am concerned they are getting exactly what they asked for so they need to suck it up and quit whining.

The areas that are affected are mostly conservative, mostly white areas. For instance Staten Island is only 9.5% black. Compare that to N’awleans. Bush was CLEARLY a racist because the demographics of Katrina was 44% black. He was a white president, hence he didn’t care about black folk. Of course that is BS. But we now have a complete flip of the circumstances. So why is THIS not racially motivated to the media and the people who watch such things?

Bush had FEMA on site and working in 5 days. That is 5 days after the START of the 3-day mess. We are now 12-days POST Sandy, and many victims say they have not seen FEMA. And lets not forget that the hard-working FEMA offices closed due to weather. /eyeroll

And I may get in trouble for saying this, if the thought police are nearby, but darnit! The Sandy victims are hard-working tax-paying people for the most part. Of ALL people who should get help from the government that THEY pay to support – these are the people. Katrina victims were takers. They were already a drain on the system, but no one slowed things down because of that. And I don’t begrudge them the help. But for goodness sake – the people who PAY into the system should not be further back in line than the ones who only drain the system.

Yeah, I’m not happy!

Well said my dear. Makers are now treated as pariah and the takers are treated as royalty.

Thanks for understanding! I am not a mean person (well I wasn’t till last Tuesday, anyway), but some things are just common sense. Why should tax dollars go to the losers at the back of the line FIRST? I pay taxes for the betterment of society, but I expect to get something from them too. I am not saying that the takers should get crumbs (although, in some ways it would be fair), but when you have a big community pot, the people who put in the most should at least get some benefits when they need it.

We have talked about it here before, but I have a grocery budget for my family of 3. I work hard to keep the costs down, while feeding them delicious food. A family of 3 on food-stamps gets MORE than my family’s budget. And then we still get all the propaganda that “half of all children in DC are at risk for hunger” so we need to donate some more money for them. WHAT?? MY family eats really well on about $450 a month. No one in my family (or my daughter’s friends who are here a lot) ever go hungry. So how can these children, who’s moms are getting $100 a month MORE than that, be “at risk”? BAD PARENTING. And how is that MY fault?

OMG — I totally went off on a rant here. I think I might have had a point, but then I just kind of lost it! Shushing up now! LOL
