Outrage as Westboro Baptist plans praise gathering outside Sandy Hook Elementary school to celebrate God ‘executing his judgement’ in horrific shooting rampage that killed 20 children and 6 adults: Tragedies can bring out the best in folks, but it would seem that these people have nothing good in them at all. We are astounded by their cruelty. We are saddened by their hate. And while we mean no violence against anybody -or look use the law to prohibit free expression- we would shed no tears if these Westboro kooks got the sort of welcome in Connecticut that was waiting for them in Brandon Mississippi.

Disgusting. Agents of Satan sent to discredit and besmirch the Name of Christ. Of course it won’t work but it is very disgusting nevertheless.

No, Kimmy, they aren’t even smart enough to be agents of Satan. They’re just idiots.

I hope they reconsider. They’d never make it back to I-95 in the condition in which they’d have arrived. Newtown is peaceful. Next city over is Danbury and they do not fool around there.

As I said in a prior thread, it’s time for the media and the politicians to leave the people of Newton to grieve in privacy. I also thought the scumbags who populate Westboro Baptist would have the simple human decency to stay away. But no, these sick, perverted and disgusting “Christians” are coming to gloat over dead children. Westboro Baptist is a loathsome gang of publicity whores without a trace of true Christianity in their hateful souls, I hope there’s an especial deep place in hell for them.

Westboro is nothing more than a cult hanging on the words of some deranged son of a bitch. Every rule in the bible, everything you get taught goes right out the window with these circus freaks…What kind of a pig would praise a shooting like this? These people need to be delt with in a serious and final way. Okay I am pissed, I think in this case I have a right to be. I hope they all die in a flaming cult bus crash on a lonely road and nobody finds them until the next day.

I’m beginning to think that the media and the politicians are little better than the sub-humans at Westboro. The MSM and the pols exploit the dead children while the Westboro ghouls celebrates their murder. They’re all are in Newtorn to exploit the citizens of the town and further their own agendas.
I’m the grandfather of five, all under the age of 10, this massacre has hit my wife and I; we turned off the TV news after watching Geraldo Rivera and other reporters sticking their cameras and microphones in the citizens’ faces.
I’d like to see the police throw all non-residents (except relatives) out of town.

I’m astounded that we didn’t see a few fathers sticking cameras and microphones up a few reporters asses. Had I been there it would have been a sure bet even if my child had not been harmed.

I first became aware of this tragedy while stopping for breakfast on my way to a photo shoot Friday morning. It was on the TV in the restaurant. I looked at the pictures, at the footage, and from a photographer’s point of view, pictured the cameraman standing in THAT street, pointing his camera at THOSE people, at THAT moment, and shaking my head.
I couldn’t do it. I would have to quit my job and walk away.

Sometimes, people need to be left alone. Not just keeping the cameras out of their faces, but stop with the long zoom shots, too. These people needed privacy. They still do. Let them come out and talk if and when they feel the need.

The parents were there, stanidn net to the children! Atleast I think they were parents. The kids were cuddled up pretty close. That’s why I said the parents must have been in shock to allow someone to interview them, especially so soon after many of them saw the bodies of other children and adults.

Yeah I dont understand that. I would have taken my child home and close the windows and get the phones off the hook and just screen my cell calls just get a priest or pastor or go to a priest or pastor (or a counselour) if I see that my child is freaking out. Talking to the cops or the reporters to me was just whack.

The interview with one kid, who described the police taking down and arresting someone outside the school, sure didn’t get much airtime. Nor did the helicopter video of them chasing a guy through the woods, radioing that they had one “proned out.”

I can’t stand that! I am so sick of that. I think they should leave and let them grieve. I am extremely dissapointed on Fox News. This disgusting pursuit of every single lead no matter how wrong and especially milking something that is now unnecessariy to repeat. I find it extremely disturbing I havent seen the news in almost three days now. I pray for the parents of the victims, but I don’t think they need to be on camera for me to remember them and even though children, they have a right to their privacy. I don’t need to know about the children’s lives, they were children, they were innocent let them and their parents have their privacy.

I sent a little note to the Patriot Guard Riders, they are familiar with the Westboro freaks, but they will not get involved.
That’s ok, it pays to have friends in low places. I also sent notes to various Legion Riders clubs, and a few other patriotic and religious motorcycle clubs, to let them know what the Westboro screwballs are planning. Hopefully we will see a few hundred respectful Americans helping keep the dignity of the proceedings in Sandy Hook in tack.

Patriot Guard has to be invited by the family of a fallen soldier. They can’t just show up. If they did, they would lose their standing with the military.

… This has nothing to do with the military though. Unless this is mostly children from military families. So I dont see how they cannot show up in this particular circumstance, but oh well they need to do what is best for their organization.

i thoroughly disagree.
one might say it is our military’s reason for being, protecting and defending against all foes, foreign and domestic.
but lately they’ve been forced to watch their own asses cuz the homo’s and homa’s are loose and on the prowl, and the so called commander thinks it’s ok to treat humans like mere vid game pixels.
pardon the rant, but the whole compartmentalization of morality is stupid, dangerous, and short-sighted.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Poppa said that PG needed to be invited by the military’s family. If these aren’t miitary families, why should they wait for an invitation in this circumstance? Unless they wait for invitation by anyone. I don’t know. These are not military children that I know of so that is why I wondered. I wasn’t compartmentalizing anything that was rather odd.

I wasn’t compartmentalizing anything that
yes, i know you weren’t.
my point- the military cares for children, the military strive to defend children, and by military i mean the normal u.s. military, not the rainbow tuttie fruities nor most other world militaries.
i can only see bad things happening for the community if/as more outsiders come into town to make their own statements, quite possibly renting the wounds even more asunder.

Of course they do. My point had nothing to do with any of the above. I wasn’t in any way talking about how they care.
Poppa said: “Patriot Guard has to be invited by the family of a fallen soldier. They can’t just show up. If they did, they would lose their standing with the military.”
Under the circumstances that we have here, why must they wait for an invitation, when the families are not military families (at least not in grand numbers), and obviously the children and teachers were not military themselves? Under these circumstances why can’t they just show up and why would they loose their standing with the military? That was my entire point.
It is obvious that the military is set to defend our children and all of us. That was never in question.

Being ex military I have disagree with you. If I lived close enough I would gladly ride to Connecticut to help make sure the Westboro freaks did not disrupt the services.
I am not a Patriot Guard but I am an American Legion Rider, and a vet, and many of my compadres feel like I do. This has nothing to do with a fellow veteran, it has everything to do with preserving the dignity of the services for the fallen children.

I’m sure that many local Patriot Guard Riders would go for this purpose, but they would not wear or display their PGR colors. They have a code of conduct that they must follow.

Patriot Riders are a great group and would likely be happy to apply a few ass whoopings, but they have rules and abide by them. On the other hand, Hells Angels could be encouraged to do a little community service. Especially if it were arranged that the local law enforcement was going to take the “didnt see nothin” attitude. I’m sure if that could be arranged, substantial funds could be raised to “pay for their gas” so to speak.

Interesting that they are arrogant enough to speak for GOD. I don’t think I am quite qualifies to say that God hates anything. He is the antithesis of hate. He lovew the AWestboro nuts as much as he loves me. But in my human understanding, I want to set them all on fire! Speaking for God is way above my paygrade, so I can only testify to what I knwo. THat God loves us, wants the best for us, and suggests some wasy we could behave that would make that possible. He does not however, MAKE us do anythng. Its an all volunteer arrangement. I am sad for the families in Connecticut, and especially for the surviving children. I think Westboro needs to stick a sock in it and leave peoplle alone. Again, the do what they do for attention, like misbehaving children. If we ignore the behavior, not reward it, it will lose its appeal.

I couldn’t even watch the whole thing. Her explanations of God are SO off the mark, cruel and simply mean, that I couldn’t listen to her. GOD is love, not hate, not vengeance, not punishment and certainly not using innocent children to punish America for being off the mark in our behaviour. That infers that we need sacrifices to appease him. which is TOTALLY false. Having grown up Baptist (real Baptist, not these morons) I have issues with the Baptist church overall, but these people should not be allowed to align themselves with any mainstream Christian faith. And again, we need to quit giving them what they want. Stop the interviews, stop the news coverage of their appalling behavior at funerals, stop giving them attention.

God is love.
there are things He hates
Vengeance is His, He will repay.
Jesus’ sacrifice was necessary, to take away the sins of all the world.
God is also jealous.
also, He’s not slow in keeping His promises as some count slowness.

Yep, ’73 was about when AC’s popularity went nuts. I was in high school, and he was one of my favorites. My best buddy went to school on “crazy” day once, dressed and made up as Alice. He was known to the cooler teachers as Al until the day he graduated.
