What the eff has Ron Paul done about the nearly 20,000 unconstitutional gun laws that still don’t work? He’s been in Congress for over 2 decades, & has no meaningful legislation to his name. 1 bill, a measure authored by Paul that was ultimately enacted allowed for a federal customhouse to be sold to a local historic preservation society (H.R. 2121 in 2009). That is it, & you think he can walk on water. But you know what, ANYONE can do it, you just have to wait until it’s frozen solid. The guy puts pork barrel projects into spending bills, & then votes against them when he sees it has the votes to pass.

Keep posting Ron Paul this & Ron Paul that, I don’t give a sh!t, but it’s people like you crowley, who do way more harm then good for Ron Paul by acting like you are above it all when you are not. How dumb M-effers like you function amazes me, & people like you gave us an idiot like Obama the 1st time around, let alone getting him a 2nd term, & don’t kid yourself, voting Ron Paul was your right, but it was, by default, a vote for Obama. Poppa, A few months ago, remember when I pissed off lots of people when I kept asking him about 9/11? I kept asking what he thought about it, because I get the feeling he thought it was an inside job. Lots of Ron Paul cultists are down with that, as well as the Alex Jones/Infowars/PrisonPlanet followers. crowley has that vibe & I cannot stand people like that. I hauled hazardous for a few years, and I’m certified to handle the stuff with heavy equipment. Sometimes, hazardous is sweet duty, with mandated safety stops, having other people clean out your truck, etc. Other times, whey you’re still doing your own cleaning and such, it’s a pain.

Hey, it paid by the hour. I can drive the truck, or I can do paperwork.

My favorite was hauling carcinogenic oils to Beatty, Nevada. Leave in the middle of the night, get to Beatty at 7 a.m., sign in, (there’s that paperwork thing again), and go nap on the couch in the driver’s lounge while they empty my tank and clean my truck for me. On the clock.

Isn’t there non stop ads on TV hustling a video game, Black Ops or something, that shows the gamer blowing away masses of people and end’s with some nerdy guy walking away from the mayhem armed to the teeth with the message, “Because there is a little (killer or something) in all of us.”
Isn’t it coming out that this Lansa nutcase wacko (mentally disturbed to you liberals out there) was addicted to video games? I dunno, but I think that violent movies and video games are way more responsible for setting the loonies off than guns. So, how are you going to stop the nut cases from watching this stuff? You cant, and you cant prevent nut cases, loons, violent criminals, and pathological killers from getting guns? Oh I know, outlaw them just like drugs. That’s working well isn’t it??? Maybe if we posted a sign that says, “Gun Free Zone”
How about a sign that says, “WARNING! There are armed people in this school and any attempt to enter this building illegally will be instantly met with deadly force without warnings.” After a couple of these assholes are blown away right away, I think the word will get around quickly.
Another sign is needed, “ACLU protesters will be shot on sight” And then enforce both signs.

I think blaming violent video games and movies for this is like blaming guns. Millions of people play these videos games and watch these movies and a perfectly fine and functioning individuals. Just as millions of people own guns and they are perfectly fine and functioning individuals.

If anyone is to blame then I blame the media. They turn these people into celebrities and give them power they shouldn’t have. They champion legislatures who create new laws (usually that take away peoples rights) based upon the acts of these people. Imagine a mentally sick person who knows all they have to do is kill a bunch of people and he or she affects the lives of millions for decades. Then the media can’t wait to endlessly air pictures of the person who did this on their stations and call out his name over and over. That probably has a greater affect then a video game. I hate the media, which is why I have not turned on a news station since the election.

Well, I think you can break down reasons without it being an exercise in blame. For whatever reason, things HAVE changed. As recently as the early 60s, high schools in NYC had student target shooting clubs, and kids actually brought their own rifles to school with them. Can you even imagine that now?

All things considered, I’d be a little scared of that — now. BTW, anyone else hear a real winner of a story out of Utah? Mom sends her SIXTH-GRADER to school with a .22 revolver, and sure enough, it’s pointed at another kid’s head at recess. Now that’s just stupid all around. Maybe gun rights and voter rights BOTH should have some sort of intelligence test. SF writer Robert Heinlein wrote very specifically about that sort of thing over and over – having rights is one thing, getting to exercise them responsibly is another.

Remember, as conservatives we are often fond of saying that rights carry responsibilities with them. Maybe keep bullets and ballots both away from the halfwits and we won’t end up with dead kids and Red presidents.

I think most of the MSM coverage is way worse then movies/games/music. They just reflect society, rather then the MSM, which always has an agenda in their coverage of everything. Actually they’ve already blamed someone. Gun owners. I just saw Feckless Leader and Biden on TV. Joe’s going to head a gun control commission or something like that. With Joe in charge they’ll probably ban gum or gin or something that sounds similar.

What they’re doing makes as much sense as blaming all car owners on that 100+ car pile up in Texas a couple of weeks ago.

Actually, I’m relieved that Biden will head up this commission. We are guaranteed of nothing getting done. These idiots in Washington may fantasize about disarming us but the reality the members of both Houses would like to get re-elected and as soon as the tragedy in Newtown fades, it will be business as usual. Oh, by the way, there is something about Benghazi, F&F, and the Fiscal Cliff but we’ve been distracted by a another liberal smoke grenade so those issues will disappear without controversy it seems.

How does somebody stop a crazy person from hurting other people? Besides locking them up (which was the reason for the snap in this case)? This whole tragedy was a combination of many factors, poor parenting being one of them.

Good a place as any to mention that I went to Shoot Straight this morning – Dean and Poppa know it – the place was cleaned out. The only semi-automatic rifles left were Bushmaster .22LRs and really expensive (over $2500) larger caliber models. The hunting rifle shelves were stripped including most shotguns and I bought the last three 9mm magazines for my S&W. I also bought the last three boxes of hollow points. I don’t even remember the brand. Unreal. The staff was exhausted. I shot pretty good though. Not with the hollow points, of course.
