But they have no problem burning our flag or our bibles. Tell us how you feel about that Obama?

He doesn’t care. That’s how he feels! After all, he came to America late, and Based on his sermons, I don’t think the Rev. Wrioght ever READ the Bible, much less preached from it.

The difference is those Bible people won’t blow themselves up in a crowd. Actually they might do something really radical like: turn the other cheek.

I say lets get the hell out of Afghanistan and let them go back to killing each other instead of killing our troops.

I agree 100 percent, WE get out and let that shit hole fall and become the stone age cave dwelling desert of Tidy Bowl Worshipers. Then they can kill each other day in and day out and none of us will give a rats ass…And our security strategy ought to be simple, you attack America, we reserve the right to shower you mud huts with cruise missiles for as long as we want.

Don’t agree with me 100% because we are far from agreeing with each other. If we were merely fighting a country, our target should have been Saudi Arabia all along because that where most of the hijackers came from.

We are fighting an idea and idolatry that goes beyond borders. I don’t think we can win hearts with bombs, but that is what were trying to do. We can kill the enemy all day long, sacrifice the lives of our soldiers, but will that win the war in the long run? The war is a war of ideas, not a war of who can kill more.

We are not fighting a conventional war, we should stop thinking like the means to winning a conventional war is the only answer.

But if we reduce the Muslim population by, say 95% it would slow the attacks towards America. They would be too busy rebuilding those mud huts and burying their dead. I absolutely believe war is our last option,, but there is no talking to extremists, no reasoning with crazies. We actually DO keep trying to do that and it has failed miserably. We are not prosecuting a war in Afghanistan. We are fiddle farting around, trying to keep everybody happy. We need to make a strong, undeniable staement that we will not tolerate the behaviour there. They are killing their own people supposedly in the name of Allah. Personally, I don’t think Allah backs that position, though clearly Mohammed did.

We’re talking about a billion and a half people. You want to reduce that by 95%? I hope you’re not a Jedi because you’d probably have one hell of a headache after that.

These people are savages, I think the only thing bombing a bunch of savages does is make them more savage. They keep telling us to leave them alone. That’s not the perfect solution, but there will always be people in this world that want to harm others no matter what we do. Our response to take out al-Qaeda and their training camps in Afghanistan was a reasonable response. Yet I have no idea why we’re still there, why we went into Iraq, why our politicians are talking about arming Syrian rebels, or why we would want to take the lead in Iran (since what they do is far more detrimental to the rest of the middle-east and Europe than it is to us). We have to many problems on our home front, we don’t need the members of our military getting killed by a bunch of idiots who live in a cave.

The crimes these people commit against each other are terrible. There’s a certain segment of their population that feed off of death and murder. I feel awful for the people who are born into this and become victims of their own peoples violence, but it’s not my problem. We can’t change them, we can’t kill them all (well we could, I’m saying that as a Christian, we can’t kill them all), so what are we left with? After 10 years of war we are left with a weaker country than the one that was attacked on 9/11.

Point taken. But when we left them alone they bombed our ships, killed our military who were not on duty at the time and bombed the World Trade Center. Twice. How long do we just “leave them alone?” I don’t want to get any deeper in the middle east/Muslim issues either. But their issues are bleeding over into our interests. So we need to stop at least that encroachment. And killing a few here and there is not going to do anything but piss them off more, I agree. THat’s why I feel we need to quit playing, and do something serious.

I think the over 6,000 soldiers that died since we started these wars 10 years ago would say we did do something serious.
http://apps.washingtonpost.com/national/fallen/

What else do you suggest we do? How many more lives are worth sacrificing?

The world population is like 7 billion people, 1.5 or 2 billion people are Muslim. We can’t police them all, nor should we. Like I said, there will always be people in this world who want to hurt others, that doesn’t mean we should be one of them.

Believe me, I get the loss of life. I’m in Texas, and if you looka t yuor map, we have lost more than most. I just feel that instead of dragging it our over 10 years, when we go to war, we sshould GO TO WAR. Get in, get it done, and go home.

The problem is that the politicians are afraid of offending the people we are at war with. War is War people die there is collateral damage that is the cost of war.

Joe:”I have no idea … why our politicians are talking about arming Syrian rebels”

I don’t know, Joe. When I hear about the Syrian people being raped and murdered by the forces of Iran’s puppet dictator in Syria, I am very sympathetic to the idea of helping the poor Syrian people with some arms.

How about we just stop importing them over here? Seems like that would be a start… :( Or at least start making onerous restrictions on welfare for immigrants. If they know they can’t come over here and suck off the infidel teat, then they might not be so eager to come to a country they loathe.

They come here for education, so they can go back home and figure out how to kill us, or they come for jobs that pay more than they could ever get in their home country, and send money back via “charities” to fund the people trying to kill us.

Okay I was being kind, I thought your post was good, then you go sideways on me> A war of Ideas? The Muslims have an idea, they want to kill us cause we don’t pray to their imaginary god…Good luck talking it out with them…Perhaps you like to go even more liberal and buy them something nice or just give them cash to play nice with us? I like My idea better, we get out of their country and let them kill each other..they attack us, we landscape their country with missiles. I am not going to sit and talk with these cave dwellers, they will not change, they only stop being a threat when they are DRT…Dead Right There…

“Carney didn’t address those specifics, referring questions to defense officials.
He said the administration was following the matter closely.”

So the buck doesn’t stop there, it never even got there.

Or: We have no idea what really happened, but we’ll kiss your arse just to be on the safeside.

White House refuses to apologize for the attempt to force Christians (Non-Muslims) to violate their consciences by providing insurance for contraceptives, abortifacients, and sterilizations.
