White House Communications Director’s favorite philosopher killed 70,000,000 people

October 15, 2009, 7:15 pm · 20 comments

“The guy responsible for more deaths than any other 20th Century leader is her favorite philosopher,” Glenn Beck raged. “How can that man be your favorite anything? He killed 70 million people. That would be like me saying to you, “Hah. You know who my favorite political philosopher is? Adolf Hitler. Have you read Mein Kampf?”

By this time tomorrow, Keith Olbermann will name Glenn Beck the World’s Worst Person and quote him as saying that Adolf Hitler is his favorite philosopher.

Keith Olbermann to name Beck the World’s Worst Person? Keith Olbermann must not own a mirror…

Of course I am joking, there are people loads worse then he is. Chairman Mao comes to mind…

People should study Mao and know what he has done and how wicked his authority was and how it was allowed to balloon to that totalitarian level. To turn around and say that he is great and link him to Mother Teresa is a prime example of what neuroscientists call ‘having a brain fart’!

By that logic the greatest Naval hero is Popeye the Sailor and Stalin was the world’s most successful ‘motivational speaker’!

How does Obama pick his staff? Line the short list candidates all up and dismiss any who are able to exhibit rational thought?

While there is no question in my mind that Obama is a flat out socialist if not Marxist that surrounds himself with the same, Mr. Beck’s “gotcha,” with respect to Anita Dunn is unconvincing. Ms. Dunn stated that she “turned to most,” Mao and Mother Theresa, two of her “favorite political philosophers,” to “basically deliver a simple point.” The point she expressed was that, “You don’t have to accept other people’s definitions of how to do things or follow other people’s choices or paths but rather to choose your own based on what it right for you.”

Ms. Dunn at no time endorsed Mao’s political beliefs, nor the treachery of the brutal treatment of his own people. It was a stretch for Mr. Beck to insinuate otherwise.

There’s no question that Ms. Dunn surely could have chosen someone like Ronald Reagan who against all odds stated, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall now,” to demonstrate her point.

Nice try at rationalization, Manny. As Beck said, “How can this guy be your favorite anything?” I can honestly say I would never quote Mao, Hitler, Stalin, Castro, Che, etc. — unless it was to demonstrate how absolutely evil they were. This woman holds him up as shining example of positive values.

And yes, expect Beck to be the next victim of the fake quote promoters. They’ll take his quote out of context in order to leave people thinking that Beck idolizes Hitler.

At least Beck didn’t take Dunn’s words out of context. I don’t think he can expect the same treatment from the “progressives” out there.

“The point she expressed was that, “You don’t have to accept other people’s definitions of how to do things or follow other people’s choices or paths but rather to choose your own based on what it right for you.”

In other words, if it feels good do it. This basically sums up the liberal moral code.

Her point obviously can work BOTH ways. Self-reliance and perseverance is what made our Nation great. If we had followed the British monarchy’s dictates rather than our own, perhaps, none of us would be posting hereon. Ms. Dunn never said or implied, “If it feels good, do it,” though I would not be surprised if she felt that way given her liberal “bedfellows.”

No rationalization here Natasha, but rather a “fair and balanced,” assessment.

I fail to see Ms. Dunn holding up Mao as a “shining example,” of anything other than an explicit point she was expressing. Whether or not you, Mr. Wilson, or anyone else agrees with her point is a topic for another conversation. Besides, rest assured that we are in the same choir. These people and their leader must go!

I don’t see a person proclaiming a “philosopher” as a favorite based upon one explicit point. To be her “favorite”, she must agree on the preponderance of Mao’s philosophy. His philosophy can be summed up by the statement “I know better than anyone how this country should be run”. Unfortunately, this attitude anticipated the Obama regimes attitude — a regime of which she is a part.

Ms. Gunn can attempt to spin what she said anyway she likes but the fact is and the recording of what she said is what it is. She said it, she meant it and she meant it as much as she believes it. She is one of Obama’s ABOMINATION UPON THE NATION, INC.’s lackey thugs and that is just how it is.

As for me, I will continue to pray to God Almighty to remove from our midsts the false Muslim Messiah pretending to be a legal resident of the White House and Oval Office. I shall continue to pray for God bringing it to fruition sooner than later because it is what I earnestly desire for my country, what I believe must come to pass and because I believe it. No spin to that!!!

Yes, as a matter of fact I know her last name is Dunn but since she is what she is and holds the “position” she holds I think I’ll continue to call her Ms. Gunn.

The story I’ve heard now is that she was “just kidding.” Liberals can get away with “kidding,” conservatives are not allowed.

Administrator:

She was “just kidding”? Interesting, NOT!

LOL! Well, if she was I wasn’t with respect to my prayer and her supposed kidding doesn’t change the fact that I’m not when I say that my prayer includes her being swallowed up by death and hell along with the Kenyan-born pathological liar foisted upon this nation by ACORN and the insanities of reprobates known as liberals (a.k.a. Democrats, “Moderates”, and “Independents”).

Praise the Lord, I think the ground around of them is already beginning to tremble, quake and open. Come quickly, Lord Jesus, come quickly.

I wonder if Ms. Dun is an admirer of the Chairman’s philosophy regarding his sex partners? It’s been well documented that her beloved philosopher enjoyed sharing his bed with prepubescent girls. Could Ms. Dun’s tastes be in a similar vein? Is that what she admires most about Comrade Mao?

If she was just kidding why not say I am just kidding… ? Also if this was a speech at graduates then I dont see the point of “kidding” them about supposed advice she was imparting on them…. ridiculous…

As for her she did believe what she said and even though she may find “horrid” that he (Mao) had to go so far as to kill so many people for his will to be done, she must agree with as someone so well put the preponderence of his philosophies and ways if she is to call him one of her favorites and someone she relies on for personal growth.

Yet Bush said Jesus was his favorite philosopher and he was mocked. Jesus who instead of killing 70+ people taking over the world (as He could have) and breaking everyone with His will, actually allowed Himself to be murdered (so He could resurrect) and preached above all else love, repentance and peace is not an acceptable philosopher nor mentor for some people… (liberals mainly)… interesting.
