Will your next burger be ground-up mealworms? This sounds like it’s for the birds and fish bait. Us eat a mealworm burger? No way. We suppose they’ll come out with catchy TV commercial like “Worms, the other white meat.”

If some Hollyweird person exclaims the worms as green and healthy, the liberals will gladly eat them.

A worm tastes like what it eats. So as long as they feed the worms Kobi Beef, they’ll probably taste good.

I love raw oysters, even if they look like something from a bull’s nose.

I was having a conversation with a guy at work a few weeks ago about how I would try all sorts of insects if they were cooked right. From a capitalist point of view, and not a stupid green point of view, it could be a very profitable industry if people could get over the taboo of eating insects. A little bit of marketing and free samples and it could be profitable.

There are some Hollyweird chefs doing crickets, grasshoppers and other creepy crawlers already.

Exactly. They provided much needed protein in a number of cultural traditions.

I remember the uproar that was caused in SA in the 80′s when Vietnamese immigrants were sitting on the curbs around high end neighborhoods, eating grasshoppers.

I remember the Peta lady (?) on the radio when they asked listeners to boycott McDonald’s over their manufacturing techniques of their McNuggets . Making McNuggets was cruel to the chickens . At the height of the program , she stated that everyone knew that a chicken was as smart as a dog .
Make believe must be a very cruel way to live .

She doesn’t know it, but if they’d crawl out of her head she might have a clear, non communist thought for once.

MMMMM Ithink that may be pushing it. If she emptied them from her head, her skull would be completely empty and she wouldn’t have any thoughts at all! Of course, that would be an improvement, even so.
