CNN informs us that Obama only bashes Bush because it works

by editor on August 9, 2010

In an article about Bush bashing – which it’s always denied the existence of – CNN said:

bush obama morph

While he’s not on the ballot, George W. Bush is still vital to the midterm election as far as the nation’s top Democrat is concerned.

President Obama has made a point recently to invoke Bush’s name in what many say is a calculated effort to remind voters of the previous administration’s economic policies, which Democrats argue led to the worst recession in modern history.

On Monday, the president told those attending a Democratic fund raiser in Atlanta, Georgia, that the GOP has not distinguished itself from Bush.

What the Most Unlike Bush President Ever failed to mention to the crowd was the many things that he has done to differentiate himself from Bush, things like closing the hated evil Gitmo and repealing that horrible Patriot Act, ending the practice of no-bid contracts above $25,000, allowing imported prescription drugs, imposing tougher rules about revolving doors for lobbyists, reducing earmarks to 1994 levels, ending “Don’t ask, don’t tell.”

The reason he didn’t mention them, of course, is because he promised a dramatic changes in each of them, but has delivered more of the same.

So while Obama claims that the GOP hasn’t distinguished itself from Bush, the reality is that it’s Obama himself who hasn’t distinguished himself from Bush.

Except for that darned socialism thing. Which he didn’t mention in the speech.

that photoshop is great. The Patriot Act is a big government thing, they are not going to repeal it they would give up too much power. Overall logistically they cannot close the guantanamo camp it was a stupid thing to promise. Obama hasn’t done anything to repeal anything Bush has done because it would mean stopping government spending and curtailing government control. He took what Bush did and increased it exponentially. He is banking on people’s ignorance that he is making things worst instead of better. No one had a gun to his face telling him to continue with the bailout processes.

Also as someone mentioned the Democratic ruled congress did make a big difference that lead to what we have today.

Barry-O nees to STOP the Bush-bashing and get on with business, that is, if he is capable of conducting business. Seems like he is always posing for photo ops, going on vacation IN MAINE, even though he promotes Florida; nice double-standard there, and generally flitting around, instead of conducting business. Then again, Barry-O has never run a business of any sort, has he? And now he’s the head of our country – In God We Trust: no one else.

Obama and that dems go after Bush because his name is only 4 letters long – think about it, this is the president that came up with “Corpse”, “57 states”, “breathalyzers for asthma patients” … and a hearbeat away is biden and his “stand up chuck”, “big f__ing deal”, “3 letter word, J-o-b-s” and others.

Also note, their other target is Rush – hmmm — no wonder we’ve not seen transcripts, nothing from the Haaavaaad Law Review (that he wrote), the claims someone else wrote his “book”, etc ….

Bush is a rocket scientist with balls compared to the hoopster-in-chief.

What Obama seems to forget is the Democrats taking control of Congress in 2007. It could be coincidental but the economic meltdown took place shortly after.

Actually, without the media lies about GWB, the Republicans mustering a RINO geezer and the Republicans having the cajones of a neutered sow, this catastrophe would never have been elected. The moronic “independent” voters caused all this because they’re too stupid to find out the truth for themselves.

>> Republicans having the cajones of a neutered sow << Amen Mistella. The idea of Mitch McConnell becoming the Senate Majority Leader doesn't send a tingle down my leg. Remember back to 2001 when the Senate was split 50/50 for a few months with the GOP holding the VP tie-breaker? Trent Lott offers to "share" the leadership with the Dems in order to be a ball-less wonder fair. The icon for the GOP should be a picture of a cave-in.

Well, one thing is for sure:
Without a George. W. Bush Presidency, the Obama Presidential catastrophe would not have been possible.
