D-Day 68th anniversary remembrance in France

D-Day 68th anniversary remembrance in France. An IHTM salute to all the veterans who bravely landed in France 68 years ago today. My great-uncle, PFC George Gaydos, 507th PIR Compay D, parachuted in with the 82nd Airborne. The one tale I remember hearing about him was that he was buried alive by a blast from an 88mm cannon and dug out by a buddy and that not much longer after that he had to return the exact same favor. His photo is below. May God bless him and all the veterans of all wars.
