Return of the Baby Killers: Democrats say Republican budget cuts will kill 70,000 children

by editor on April 1, 2011

Looks like Democrats are getting ready to dust off the old “baby killer” insult and try it out on Republican budget cutters. We haven’t really heard that one since the war in Vietnam was winding down, so we’d have to say it’s long overdue.

rajiv shah

"I swear," Rajiv Shah said, "that those Republicans are baby killers."

ForeignPolicy.com has the story:

As Congress struggles to negotiate a budget deal to keep the government running, the head of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) told lawmakers Wednesday that the GOP version of the budget bill would result in the deaths of at least 70,000 children who depend on American food and health assistance around the world.

“We estimate, and I believe these are very conservative estimates, that H.R. 1 would lead to 70,000 kids dying,” USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah testified before the House Appropriations State and Foreign Ops subcommittee.

“Of that 70,000, 30,000 would come from malaria control programs that would have to be scaled back specifically. The other 40,000 is broken out as 24,000 would die because of a lack of support for immunizations and other investments and 16,000 would be because of a lack of skilled attendants at birth,” he said.

“Baby killer!”

Put the long version of Innagaddadavida on the 8-track, fire up a fattie and we’re right back in 1968.

If you think about it,
With the government shutdown … It will be a wash

70000 children die
But
No funding for planned parenthood, no funding for abstinence programs, people can not go to a national park, museum or the national zoo … So they will have little else to do …
70000 more will be conceived

We break even!

Innagaddadavida was an unintelligible piece of drivel, 8-tracks always cut Ike and Tina’s songs in half, but fire up a fattie and I’m there with ya.

Oh, by the way. Republicans are child killers and they also want Auntie Zeituni to eat dog food!

It’s suppose to be “In the Garden of Eden” but during recording, singer Doug Ingle became intoxicated and slurred the words.

I wouldn’t give Auntie any dog food. If there was only one can left, I’d give it to my dog. To hell with Auntie Zeituni.

Yeah, those democrats. They’re pretty coinsistant on killing children with their stance on abortion. As for the children that depend on American food….Let’s see….it was the those democrats that shut off the water to the California farmers who grow the food that could feed the children that depend on American food. There’s some American children that would like some of that food, please. And please turn the damn water on so the farmers can make a living. Oh yeah, those democrats turned off the water to save a minnow. they’re so compassionate. They care about fishies and foriegners. Such compassion. Stop voting for these dirtbag s***sticks. Leave the Democrat party

Assuming for a moment that he didn’t pull that 70,000 figure out of his rear end, total economic collapse, hyperinflation and the US dollar becoming worthless will kill a lot more than 70,000…

This coming from the pro-abortion side.

How does a USAID administrator become a USAID administrator, and how, especially, did this POS faux American get the job?

Let’s tell the dem’s they’re “late-term abortions” – just a tad later than what they wholeheartedly support.

Apparently, we’re being called upon by left-leaning lunatics and Democrats who oppose the use of DDT to combat mosquito-borne malaria in the Third World to ignore the 1,000,000 deaths they support annually.

You’re giving them waaaayyyyy too much credit for rational thought!

Aw, grasshopper, you must see through to the final vision! Without the American pharmaceutical and chemical industries Africa would be nothing but a huge game preserve with a very small human population due to famine and disease. This is the left’s “final solution” for Africa, Ghia’s petting zoo.

Yeah, you’re right: Margaret Sanger would be real proud of what veiled racists are doing to the “little brown people” of Africa.

“The dems should be blaming themselves for making these poor people so dependant on us.”

Oh they can’t do that, that would mean taking a deep look at one’s reflection in the mirror on the wall…the one that keeps telling them just how wonderful they are!

It’s nice to know that our country goes out of it’s way to help feed the worlds hungry. However, I don’t see how we can be at fault for problems other nations have brought onto themselves. The dems should be blaming themselves for making these poor people so dependant on us.

The logical question is why can’t these foreign kleptocracies take care of their own children? But why should they, when they can lay an big guilt trip on Uncle Sap and get us to pay for programs that these corrupt, incompetent foreign nations can never seem to find the money for.

So, in the end, we’ll borrow billions more from China and give the money to a mob of ungrateful Third World shitholes and children will die anyway.

WTH do these theoretical 70,000 kids have to do with my tax money? Why is it MY responsibility to ensure they have their shots? that is why I would give to the Christian Children’s Fund. At least I know who my money is helping… Where does all the money our government gives go? Not to these 70,000 kids! It goes to their corrupt governments!

Yes, Yes, Yes

Absolutely agree. It is time that people stood on their own two feet, looked after their own children and supported their own communities.

No governement subsidy of ANYTHING is the way back for US.

Are you trying to say it DOESN’T take a country to raise a child?

RockingHorseGuy

But it DOES take a village to raise an idiot.

I read Rajiv Shah’s speech, but I kept missing the part where he said, “Thank you, USA, for all you’ve given us in the past”….

Yeah, I think they edited that part out for the sake of time constraints.

Oh my, whatever will we do if more third world babies don’t get old enough to fire an AK or make themselves into IEDs? Whatever will we do?

Why, one of those third world babies might grow up to be elected president of these here United States someday. . .

The left’s policy on abortion — That must be a different kind of Baby killing , that doesn’t qualify as Baby killing.

hisham

Speaking of abortion, the Texas legislature just agreed to and passed a bill forking over all of the state’s funds that were slated to go to Planned Parenthood to the Pro Life Movement in the state. A bit of refreshing news, and hopefully not an April Fools errand!

Aw come on, who’s my hater…come out, come out where ever you are!

Hey if you can DEFINE it as “not a baby” then you can kill it without guilt!

GregoryTart

Give us a break- the liberals killed more people by banning DDT in third world countries. Rajiv means “striped”; this guy does look a skunk doesn’t he. Ever noticed how we have all these people coming to America to tell us how bad we are, but they would never try to affect changes in the corrupt worlds they left– that would take guts.

USAID should be to AID US citizens in the USA, there’s plenty of them who need it. Remember libtards – charity begins at home.

So it is the United States tax payers responsibility to provide health care for the rest of the world? if USAID was so concerned about budget shortfalls, perhaps they could have pulled back the $770 million for Mosque remodeling in the middle East. This is the same nonsense that occurs every time someone dares to touch someones pet project, 15 trillion in debt and these pathetic morons can’t come to the realization that cuts have to be made, instead they point fingers at each other.

Its the same old schtick…pull out the “hurts the kiddies” card every time we need to garner support.
