Oops. Ed Schultz interviews Tucson hero, finds out he’s packing heat and willing to use it

by editor on January 12, 2011

We guarantee – absolutely guarantee – that as soon as this interview with Tucson shooting hero Joe Zamudio was over and they cut to commercial, Ed Schultz started screaming in the studio:

“Why didn’t somebody tell me this guy was a freakin’ gun-totin’, First Amendment lovin’, right wing lunatic? You made me look stupid on the air.”

No, Ed, you do that all by yourself.

Don’t get it.. Ed didn’t react oddly to news of this guy packing at all, and prefaced it by stating his ownership of guns. He owns guns like I own guns. He didn’t question this guy’s assertion that he’d have fire his if he had to

Then he thanks him for his heroism. Did i watch the same clip?

Well what I find odd is the total lack of reaction. ed could have (had he wanted to) decimated this guy for saying he almost shot the wrong guy, but then Joe didn’t shoot so that would lead no where. Ed could have restated his argument that gun control was necessary for veterans and mentally ill, but then it would have been construed as an attack on the hero. He did what most intelligent (debatable) journalists do, and be quiet, let the story unfold lest you bring a heap o’ trouble back on yourself!!

what did he had to pause and aspirate before saying the fault lies on the guy alone?

now… did i miss something is this whacko shooter a veteran? why even bring that up?

More like fill his depends. Ass-pirate. Hillarious.

LOL I got to admit that I think he has a lot of health problems besides his mental disorder he needs to go to a doctor. His face is all flushed all the time and he can’t seem to breathe right…

Apparently there’s a good bit of misunderstanding about personal responsibility. As such, it is imperative for any conservative who debates a liberal, to develop an understanding of a core tenet of the Democrat Party– the Doctrine of No Faultness. Anything you say isn’t your fault so by definition, if someone did something in response to your statement, it wasn’t their fault that they reacted to something that wasn’t your fault. So, the real culprit is the person who made you make the original statement that wasn’t your fault. Unless, or course, that person was also a Democrat. In that case, the “chain of no faultness” continues until it falls on a conservative.

that may be a difficult concept to accept, but don’t worry about that– it’s not your fault.

When he said “I think the only person responsible is: ”

I thought he was going to say Sara Palin.

Never forget this, in the free market place of ideas, the left can never win.

Debate them every chance you get.

I forgot to add my best bet for over the top comment by chrissie, I’m guessing something along the lines of – I think we just saw Barrack Obama lock up the 2012 election.

All week long eddie, along with the rest of the media, has attacked Palin (nothing new there) for remaining silent. Now that she has released a
statement they are, predictably – attacking her for speaking out. ABC went so far as to suggest ‘how dare she insert herself into this story’, this, after they spent a 4 days pinning the murder of a child on her.

Yes, how dare she defend herself against lies.

Allow me to write their review of obama’s speech (no, he hasn’t made it yet, but that’s not necessary for the liberal media.)

“Tonight President Obama spoke and pearls of wisdom sprang forth.
He once again showed why he is the greatest president of all time.
One would not think it possible to bring a nation, divided by such hate from conservatives, back together with mere narration, but so strong was his soliloquy that immediately upon completion lambs lay down with lions, crocs embraced wildebeests and Muslims kissed Jews.
And Chris Matthews experienced multiple orgasms.”

It’s a good thing Ed isn’t sharp. (OOPs pardon the incendiary analogy- OOPs I did it again!). Anyway If he were quick on the draw- OH DARN! OK, now, If he were smart, he would have asked about the possibility of his shooting the guy he originally thought was the shooter.

Joe almost mentions the constitution right at the very end of the piece…but he held back, knowing that Ed would have melted like a wet witch!

Paden

Ed starts off pretty good admitting the shooter alone is responsible for his own actions, thats a big step for a liberal.
Even admitting he owns guns and hunts is impressive, I’ll give Ed an “atta-boy” for that too.

But then Ed slides off reality into liberal lala-land of unicorns and rainbows when he says that hi cap guns are made to kill, ed should know guns are tools and aren’t made for anything other than what the owner chooses to do with them.
For that I’ll give Ed an Aw-shit”.

And Ed, One “aw-shit” costs 10 “attaboys”

And if Ed Schultz was a journalist, he would have known it before hand because I have seen this gentleman on several other media outlets over the last week.

Someone should remove that size 30 shoe from Schultz’s mouth before he hurts himself.

Nah, he is just getting to enjoy the way it tastes and feels, after all these… I don’t know anything about when this putz got on the ol TV. I only see him on IHTM! A lot.

Let the demonizing of our veterans…CONTINUE.

Some dumbass communist democrat in the AZ state legislator pushed the story that it was an Afghanistan veteran. Still waiting for an apology from that c*nt.

I think it is lucky that we did not have another deranged leftist attack decent civilized people from the rhetoric from the donks and the MSM.

Quick is there a doctor in msnbc, to remove Schultz foot from his dumb ass? Thats right, Eddie is an obamacare person. Guess he will have to wait to see the proctologist to get his foot out of his ass.

This guy shows exactly what an armed society looks like. As for the veterans and other mentally ill Amercians comment. It is highly unlikely that this was a Freudian slip.

I guess he feels u have to be mentally I’ll to volunteer to serve in the armed forces, eh?

DeanH

And that feinstein feeling, that once you’ve handled a ‘military style’ firearm you are forever insane. Black guns with pistol grips and magazines that extend beyond the grip and, oh the horror, a bayonet lug, these are known to make normal, peaceful people go mad with the fever!

RockingHorseGuy

I was never in the military. Not that I didn’t try, but that my right leg isn’t in good enough condition. But still, I actually had the opportunity, many years ago, to actually point my “assault rifle” at a lowlife car thief who was sitting in my truck trying to get it hotwired. The police had already been called, and you could hear the sirens at a distance. He actually came out of my truck with MY knife in his hand and moved towards me. I still didn’t shoot him, I talked him out of his stupid idea. Now, if that’s not restraint, I don’t know what is. Responsible gun owners have no desire to shoot anyone, and will go to great lengths to avoid it, regardless of the configuration of their weapon.

StrinaM

This guy is a hero twice over: once for helping subDue the gunman and twice for making both Ed schulz and msnbc look stupid without even trying!

I agree, although Eddie makes himself look pretty stupid without any help. Mr. Schultz should thank IHTM for watching his show and doubling the ratings.Joe Zamudio is the man, I think I have a man crush>

“…veterans and other mentally ill Americans”…Freudian slip there?

StrinaM

I heard that, too! Wondered what he meant by that.

DeanH

He wants alll the, you know, the veterans who, you know, who have been exposed to, you know, to the use of, you know, of firearms in the defense of his fat ass, you know, to be checked when they rotate, you know, out of the military. They are likely to to suffer from LWNS. That’s Lone Wolf Nutcase Syndrome. Because they’ve, you know, carried pistols that had bullets in them. Now he doesn’t think they need all those bullets.

You can never fire just one!

“Are we clear?” “Crystal” Too bad they weren’t showing Shultz’s face when he said he was packing!
