GE brings good things to China

by editor on July 28, 2011

Recently, IHateTheMedia.com wrote about Obama crony and General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt telling a US jobs summit that businesses needed to stop blaming the government for unemployment and take the lead on job creation. Like the conman president he sucks up to, Immelt is a “Do as I say not as I do” kind of guy.

Jeff Immelt ponders whether he should spit or swallow during his next meeting with President Obama

The Wall Street Journal explains:

General Electric Co. said it is moving its X-ray business headquarters to China to accelerate sales in the country’s fast-growing health-care market…

The business has already begun the move—which includes the unit’s chief executive and three other members of its executive team—and expects to complete the process by year end…

GE said it doesn’t expect the move to result in any job losses in the U.S., where the unit has been based in Waukesha, Wis. The Wisconsin X-ray division has 120 employees. The company also said it is too early to say how many employees it will hire for the unit’s new Beijing headquarters.

Translation: “Doesn’t expect any job losses” is bureaucrat-ese for “Kiss those U.S. jobs good-bye.”

“Too early to say how many employees it will hire” means “You’ll be pissed when you find out how many.”

We respect GE’s right to conduct its business as it sees fit. We do resent the company castigating others for our unemployment problem, a problem GE itself is busy exacerbating, in order to deflect blame from the bonehead whose economic policies did most of the damage.

What is good for me is bad for thee, what is bad for thee is good for me. Immelt and co = masters of the universe, the rest = dirt under their feet. All hail our new masters in waiting, the Chinese Government. I am very certain they will treat their new slaves extremely well…

Yes okay GE has the right as a capitalistic entity to choose their business models and whatever they like, but I do not believe at the expense of the US consumers and workers, and especially if he is going to attack and fault us for what is happening (or rather not happening) in this country.

Am I allowed to be that blunt?

Of course he’s leaving. Don’t you Neanderthals know that corporate taxes are just too dam low in the US for a sensitive, caring, executive like Mr Immelt? Why, I bet he even flies around in last-year’s model corporate jets!

This is the reason the tax code needs to be reformed, loopholes closed, all rates lowered, and all forms simplified. When it pays to be in a politician’s pocket, there is a problem with the way government is working. Close tax loopholes, lower rates, and watch revenues skyrocket.

How about a tariff on ALL products of American manufacturers, equal to or exceeding the amount they “save” by having the products produced overseas?

Exactly as I wrote Pat Roberts in my 3 page plan to repeal the NAFTA

Immelt knows that sales of X-ray equipment in the U.S. will plummet under Obama Care.

Immelt is such a tool, he dares to criticize other businesses for not hiring Americans during a recession then he turns around and ships part of G.E. to China. But he’s Obama’s favorite CEO so his hypocrisy will go unnoticed in the White House and by our supine MSM.

The greatest power leftists have is the power of hypocrisy. Immelt is near the top of the list on this account.

Do you suppose the Economist-in-Chief meant GE the other night when he said we had to raise ta…er, use a ‘balanced approach’ to solving the debt problem?

There’s a point in time when fate catches up to people like Immelt, it’s not pleasant. I think he should be reminded of what happened to tens of thousands of people just like him, during the French Revolution. Those unfortunates were under the impression that they were untouchable as well, just before the guillotine put an end to that thinking!

Maybe we can work a dealwith Iran. Swap Immelt for McKinney. At least all she does is act stupid, he is helping destroy the economy.

We should give them to Iran as a two-fer and just let them have the last word…Iran, I mean.

Do as I say damnit not as I do. What a piece of work Immelt is. Goes out and tells other businesses to hire people while he and his business ship jobs to China.
