IRS drops a bomb on small employers. Yet another Obamacare bomb. The way this is going the only employer that will be left is the government. If you assist an employee with their health care cost you’re subject to a $100 per day excise tax. $36,500 per year possible total. Meanwhile the toads in Congress do nothing but croak about how wondefull they all are.

The kids running the Kool Aid stand on the side of the street are more qualified to run a business than all the government assholes in the District of Corruption. I am not being facetious, I truly believe that. Unfortunately one cannot insult these corrupt scumbags because they think they are brilliant and we are all a bunch of neanderthals.

“they think they are brilliant and we are all a bunch of Neanderthals.”

What we have here is a case of the pot calling the kettle black!

WTH do you expect when the body that does the legislating is dominated by lawyers and career politicians led by a community organizer, most of whom have little if any practical business experience?

I once worked in retail management back in the 80s. That makes me more qualified to make business decisions than the majority of the cretins in DC who think that legislation is some magic salve that will work exactly the way they believe it will. Fricking airheads.

If ever there was proof that the progressives are intentionally waging an economic war against the people they govern this is it.

Exactly! They are trying to keep the people down, and under their control, but place the blame on the employers!
So, if I decided to help out my employees with say, $100/month towards their healthcare costs, it will cost me the equivalent of if I were to another employee? It would be cheaper in the long run to hire another person, and at least get something for my money!

The war is waged on ALL fronts AND on (I am being serious) invisible spiritual places as well.

Another example of a bunch of idiots who didn’t read the law, passing said law with no idea of the consequences. But on the other hand, when has these big business bribed assholes ever done anything to help small business people.

If you cannot repeal it, force those who forced it down our throats into the exchanges like everyone else. Make them live by their rules.

Yes, this is what I would like to hear from the rooftops.

YOU legislated it down out throats, you scumbag Congress, and exempted yourselves.

I hate them all with such a passion for this. They should all be tarred and feathered over and over.

This is insane! This is absolutely insane! So provisions were made to safeguard small employers from paying tax/penalties if they didn’t have the resources to offer Obamacare, but if the employers helps in any way the employees to still secure some form of healthcare, they still have to pay tax/penalties? So if they can’t afford Obamacare they didn’t have to pay the tax, but if they do the right thing and provide some healthcare assistance by other means they STILL get punished? That doesn’t make sense!!!

I guess the government feels that if an employer is using the excuse of being small and can’t afford Obamacare it shouldn’t have the resources to help the employees in ANY way! If they can help the employees in some way, then they are lying and should get Obamacare, and if they refuse they have to pay a tax/penalty for being good employers and caring for their employees’ health. That is so evil! That is essentially putting a gun to employees’ heads and looking at the employers to get with the program or else! This is wrong.

It makes perfect sense. The end goal is to completely separate health cre from employment and move to single (government) payer. Like Medicare, Medicaid.

And Boner and McConnell will ignore this because our flop eared Presi will veto any fix that he hasn’t instituted by executive fiat. When did Republican leadership become words meaning “gutless self serving quislings”?

Some time after January 1989.
