Another one bites the dust: Virginia Democrat Senator Jim Webb won’t run for reelection in 2012

by editor on February 11, 2011

Democrats are surrendering faster than the French army. James Webb, Virginia’s one-term Democrat Senator, is the latest to announced that he won’t run for reelection in 2012.

Completely unrelated to this story, but, wow, Virginia Democrat Jim Webb has a freakishly huge head

The Washington Post reports:

Webb’s decision, long anticipated by many in Virginia politics, will make his seat more difficult to hold for his party. Ex-Sen. George Allen (R), who lost the seat in 2006 to Webb, is running to win it back, and a handful of other GOP candidates are also running. Jamie Radtke (R), former chairwoman of the Virginia Tea Party Patriots Federation, is also running for the seat.

Some Democrats hope ex-Gov. Tim Kaine will decide to run for the seat, but he has given no indication yet that he is interested.

In the immortal words of Freddie Mercury and Queen:

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone
And another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I’m gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust

North Dakota Democrat Kent Conrad had previously announced his retirement. Ditto for Democrat-caucusing Joe Liberman. In addtion, Hawaii’s Daniel Akaka is rumored to be considering retirement and several others may also bid a fond adieu to Washington, DC.

Bottom line: Democrats are dropping out like they’re students in the California school system.

This life-long repeblican wouldn’t mind seeing a few more GOP resisnations as well. Both parties have become so corrupted that it really doesn’t matter. Term limits, anyone?

If it is a sexual thing how boring, but it would be interesting if it was something financial or tax involved.

Webb’s been a lackluster senator at best for the Old Dominion. His one strong point is his support for the military. His weak point is that he’s a democrat – with no discernible personality, and a supporter of Obamacare. George “Macaca” Allen would have, most likely, whupped his butt in the upcoming election anyway.

When asked to comment, Webb pulled his shirt up around his head and said, “I am the great cornholio!”.
