Will blaming Bush for your crimes catch on among criminals?

by editor on August 17, 2010

First we had the Twinkie Defense, then the O.J. Defense, and now the Maxine Waters Defense.

Fox News reports that “Embattled Rep. Maxine Waters on Friday blamed the Bush administration for her ethics problems — saying she had to intervene with the Treasury Department on behalf of minority-owned banks seeking federal bailout funds — including one tied to her husband — because the Treasury Department wouldn’t schedule its own appointments.”

This is the face of corruption. And it ain't pretty.

We can see it now. “Your honor, the question should not be why I robbed the 7-11, but rather why the Bush administration did not meet my needs by providing the $423.00 at the 7-11 to me.” Isn’t that pretty much what Waters is saying. “The question at this point should not be why I called Secretary Paulson, but why I had to,” she said. “The question at this point should be why a trade association representing over 100 minority banks could not get a meeting at the height of the crisis.”

What Waters fails to mention is that despite the fact that she represented more than 100 minority banks, only one, One United, showed up for the meeting. Coincidentally, we’re sure, that’s also the bank with which her husband was an officer.

Waters said, “”We did not influence anyone and we did not gain any benefit.”

Well, no benefit except perhaps insuring that the $350,000 in stock that her husband had in the bank did not become worthless.

Oh, sure, the cynical among you might call that a benefit, but realistically speaking, in the corrupt world of Democrat pay-for-play politics, $350,000 isn’t considered a benefit. Hell, it’s barely a good tip.

Paragon of virtue and beauty queen Maxine Waters (sorry- my PC crashed twice and needed to restart when I went to type that phrase in. Something about fact check software being overloaded and giving the BSoD) was right to Blame Bush.

In fact I prefer that she Blame Bush. After all (barring personal responsibility of some manner form her) she could could just blame “Landing Strip” and then to compound the horrors show us all…

Don’t like my post? I fully own the shortcomings of my writings. No… Not really! It is all Bush’s Fault!I blame him for anything I did which you might not like…

Sure, even preschool kids are taught that the logic employed there is bunk. But f*ck them! What do they know… That is Bush’s Fault too. No Child Left Behind or something; he must have done something. Blame Bush!

I am glad Obama is so different. He was the ‘Change’ that had come to DC. How does he deal with matters in tough times? Oh… I forgot, Blame Bush!

In closing, let me be the first to get it out there in print: Transformers 3 is all the Bush’s Fault! So what if it is not even done with production and is not out yet? It is still Bush’s Fault!

And this is case in point as to the theory that liberalism is a form of mental disease…

Overreaching doesn’t even explain what she is doing. I mean how does this work? Is she saying that she is Robin Hood or something? Lame.

A face like that probably scares “it” into hiding.

Maybe after she’s run out of politics she can get a gig doing those “I’m a big mouth” commercials Martha Rae used to do?

You see, the reason I’m fat is because of George Bush. He didn’t provide enough information on the programs I watched, or have people passing out weight loss tips at the fast food places I ate at. He should have been able to stop me from gorging myself; he is the reason I can barely breath now and only walk 5 minutes a day…when I have to.
