PUC set to OK free phones for homeless. Is the the California fast payoff for those homeless Democrat voters? More free phones? While we don’t begrudge someone who legitimately needs one, look at the photo below. Evidently at least one person cited in the article can afford to buy Red Stripe beer but can’t afford a cell phone to get phone calls from places she’s applied for work. What’s wrong with that picture?

If Corporate Greed didn’t take their jobs away, they would have been able to buy their own phones.

SERIOUSLY? The only person here with a free phone can’t tell us where the homeless charge them?
Oh, wait. He freeloads off mommy and daddy too!

Well I far from “freeload” but to answer your question, you can always charge it at fast food restaurantes, libraries, and such.

so go buy a personal solar charger, if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.

Opinions expressed by Creepy Crowley are NOt the opinions of any animal, mineral, or vegetable, living or dead. His opinions are also those of an unemployed welfare moocher and should be disregarded as the statement was coming from of a large pile of poo.

Maybe I’m missing something, but where are the homless going to charge these free phones? The welfare and subsidy bunch probaly have a HUD house with discounted electricity, but the last time I checked, those living in camps and alleys were hard pressed for wired outlets…

That will be the next victimless crime, illegal use of city outlets to charge their free phones.

personal solar-panels. large enough to recharge a cell? thinkin radio shack has something on the market like that. not real sure of price…

The price doesn’t matter. The government will pay double, or more, and give them out to the homeless.

public libraries. post offices maybe? airports/bus stations, welfare offices??
i worked with UW* once upon a time, matter of fact, i collected for unicef.

*edit. United Way. I spoke from a sermon/pulpit, i used the pulpit of Jesus to promote the United way.
I was confronted at that time, by a sister who contradicted me, in front of the small Church. I was thrown into disarray. This was many years ago, but it could be yesterday. We gotta stand for what is right, noble and just, seeking out these things. looking for the best.
I’m grateful. just sayin’
I took a real long look, at what i’d said, what i accepted without thoroughly investigating, but then I also sold kirbies. I quit both, because I can’t sell, based on deception.

Ah, now I know what those guys begging on the California freeway off ramps are using their money to buy. Based on observation, I’d put their proceeds at about $100/hr. I don’t call them bums. They’re savy street entrepreneurs selling moral self esteem to people who can’t be bothered to find and contribute to a real charity like the Marine’s “Toys for Tots” program.

I have known guys to offer them 100 cash for a hard 10 hours work, and get laughed at. He was told they make that before noon.
I have given food and NON ALCOHOLIC beverage to them, but never cash.

but if they are taking that much in before noon, they don’t need your food or non alcoholic beverage either!

I haveoffered food and normal beverages, especially in the Texas heat. Its always refused. They get picked up here with several hundred dollars in their pockets after a very short stint on the side of the road. I personally refuse to even slow down for the ones wearing brand new Cowboys or Spurs jerseys, jackets, hats, or anything else that is too expensive for me to buy!

If you’ve done well in Fleecing the System 101, you can get the government to buy both beer AND phone.

um, maybe i’m missing something, but it looks like the beer carrier is not homeless. I don’t see the homeless lookin lady squattin beside alcohol.
She’s keeping clean and trying to be as presentable as possible.
I didn’t read the whole story bcuz i couldn’t get over these comments, which to me seemed rather harsh. but maybe i’m missing something.

You are correct. The girl squatting on the ground is the homeless person referred to in the article. It was a poorly done photograph.

Hey, when making a chioce, it’s always best to buy beer and ask the government for a phone.
It’s a win-win situation!
