Screw the Republican Party: GOP won’t support Christine O’Donnell in the general election

by editor on September 15, 2010

christine odonnell Let the Republican cannibalism begin. And the main course is Tea Party favorite Christine O’Donnell.

Before Christine O‘Donnell even had a chance to deliver her remarks to accept the Republican Party’s nomination for the U.S. Senate, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) announced that the party’s fundraising organization would not be supporting the Delaware tea party favorite in the Nov. 2 election.

According to Fox News, Republican aides have confirmed that “O’Donnell would not be getting national fundraising support.”

This latest news underscores the expanding rift between the GOP establishment and tea party grassroots conservatives.

The tea party has proven to be a formidable force in taking on the GOP establishment. RedState’s Erick Erickson notes tonight that the NRSC‘s unwillingness to help O’Donnell may actually be a “good thing for O’Donnell given the NRSC track record.”

And now word comes in that primary opponent Mike Castle won’t endorse O’Donnell. So we say screw the Republican Party. Just plain screw ‘em.

We’re sending off a check to O’Donnell today. Hope you do the same.

“You can’t blame the liberal media for everything”

Show me where in this article or thread the media is introduced as a topic in this discussion.

“You people are pathetic.”

UHM,….thanks?

“You would vote for Satan as long as he was a Republican.”

Would really depend on his platform. Seriously, are you serious? Please read the title of this thread and perhaps try to re-think that statement. In case you haven’t noticed, the bulk of the people who post here are Conservatives and Libertarians – NOT Republicans. Us pathetic peeps leave the party line voting to the Libs.

“Unlike all the other lying politicians, she lacks ANY kind of experience.”

You mean she was never a community organizer? – oh no, what HAVE we done?

“You all brought this down on yourself. Take some damn responsibility.”

So, in your world I’m to take responsibility for the current state of affairs? I brought this upon myself for NOT voting for dear leader and those of his ilk?

Before you make note that I introduced the media into this discussion via an earlier post, please make sure you actually read before you speak – it was introduced as a “side note” not a “topic”….but, alas, as you have proven in your post – reading and comprehension appear to be elusive to you.

Oh please. You can’t blame the liberal media for everything. You people are pathetic. You would vote for Satan as long as he was a Republican. Christine O’Donnell is a train wreck who wants to tell everyone how to run their lives but can’t even pay her own bills or campaign staff from two years ago. She is also a liar. Unlike all the other lying politicians, she lacks ANY kind of experience. You all brought this down on yourself. Take some damn responsibility.

Actually, we would not vote for Satan — he’s a Democrat. He likes big government & controlling other peoples’ lives, and pretends to be a friend of the little guy while f*cking that same little guy over with dimwitted legislation he hasn’t taken the time to read AND IS STUPID ENOUGH TO ADMIT IT, albeit to voters that don’t seem to care.

As to blaming the liberal media, why not? It is the infrastructure of propaganda, bent on imposing tyranny upon us, twisting the truth totally out of shape in pursuit of more and bigger government. Prove that it’s not. The website isn’t named “gotta hardon for the media” or “Chris Matthews’ tingly leg fan club” — I would hope that even such as yourself could figure out for yourself that we don’t care much for the media with a name like “ihatethemedia”. I know, so *confusing*, isn’t it. It could mean *so* many things!

I also don’t think that lack of experience comments from a democrat troll is gonna fly here. How’s that non-achiever-in-chief of yours doing? Still acting like he’s on a 3rd grade field trip to the US? Maybe he’s found some other 3rd-rate dictator he can apologize to again? It’s gotta really burn him that he hasn’t even made it into the “bush league” of dictators like his hero Chavez.

You know, being *nice* to people that hate our guts sure has gotten us a long way, hasn’t it? How’s them Iranian weapons going? Maybe if Obama sucks Ahmadinejad off, and doesn’t slip him a snowball, he’ll shut his enrichment facilities down. You suppose? So far, the only person he has gotten tough with is a 17 year old who had the nerve to call him a prick. Methinks he doth protest too much.

Maybe Obama’s on another vacation? (seriously, I LIKE it when he goes on vacation all the time. It makes liberals look like the tools they are, pisses off every independent that voted for him, AND keeps him out of trouble. It’d have to make julienne fries to be any better, even though Michelle reserves food like that only for her Royal Fat Ass, not for the likes of ordinary Americans.)

As to what kind of candidate O’Donnell is — she’d be a damned sight better than Mike Castle even if she never even showed up for work. He was an imbecile of the first ordure. If democrats had any brains, they’d be cleaning up their own party instead of playing single-issue politics, using the tea party as their big scary monster to keep the plebes in line. The longer they do that, the more people they lose, but hey, who am I to strategize for people I detest?

As to taking responsibility, that’s precisely what we are up to.

In closing, get bent, and I mean that in the kindest way possible.

If the IRS went after her with a lien, that means that she’s had to face them in the real world on a very personal level…in other words, if she’s elected to congress, she would probably think twice before voting to give the IRS more powers through legislation (like obamacare). She most likely supports repealing obamacare too, right?
Having to face the IRS like that just gives her “street cred” among the “country class”…LOL

And besides, we got a tax cheat as treasury secretary appointed by Teh One, so why would this be an issue used against her?
Timmah Geithner didn’t have a lien against him though, he just had to fess up and pay up when he was named to the position…

An interesting point about Timmah:

Imagine that you owe, say, 150 grand in taxes. Assume that you cannot pay (the reason most people would owe that much). Now assume you get some bigshot appointment or promotion and you have to settle the debt.

Where is that money going to come from? It’s a lead pipe cinch that paying this debt off will trigger an audit, and if you thought you had troubles with the IRS, they’re only just starting. The IRS is going to want you to explain where this new money came from, and you will have to pay taxes on this money, too.

The only other alternative is that he had the money all along, and just wanted to screw the IRS, but the penalties in these situations are such that anybody would prefer to settle it before the IRS doubles the debt. In that case, he’s not just a tax cheat, but a brainless one, besides.

Now, as a member of the political class, I suppose the IRS just looks the other way, but most of us ‘little people’ would be looking at jail time.

And people wonder why we hate Washington.

Unless you’re IN CHARGE of the IRS, then you can just make it go away.

And Jana, no, I wouldn’t vote for Satan if he were running on the Republican ticket. (A) I don’t believe Satan exists, (B) I don’t vote for Republicans, I believe in freedom and the Constitution, so I vote Libertarian, and (C) if Satan ran as a Republican, he’d just be another RINO.

Confound it, Editor. You’re just too fast. I already had this story written in my head while at the day job, ready to submit when I got home.

Headline would have been:

Delaware Tea Party candidate beats party choice. RINOs vow to throw her under the bus.

After Tea Party candidate Christine O’Donnell’s victory over Republican party choice Mike Castle in Delawares primary elections the “Good Old Boy” RINOs went into full tantrum mode, stating that Ms. O’Donnell would not receive any campaign funding by the Party.

Her win, greatly aided by the Tea Party endorsement, must have really shaken the “Good Ol’ Boys” network. Now, one of their “own” will be out of a job and won’t be sending piles of pork back to the State. What’s next? Maybe they’ll send a delegation to stand outside her campaign headquarters and chant: “Away with the blasphemer! Maintain the status quo! She’s not one of us! Crucify her! We have no king but Obama!”

I bet she’s a racist too.

Of course, it says Tea Party right on there, doesn’t it? And I wonder how much they had to pay that black guy to stand behind her in the video. You KNOW there’s no such thing as a black conservative. Right?

I have no use for the republican party and even less for the democrats. I will not donate a dime to them and I certainly hope nobody else will, either.

Just heard THEY ARE supporting her…

That is correct. The GOP has sent her the max donation possible, after enough pressure from the base. In addition she had such a massive influx of donations into her website overnight that the server crashed.

They’d damn well better.

That’s some wonderful news. Maybe somebody’s listening?

This is the kind of nonsense that made me become a card-carrying, dues-paying, contribution-making Libertarian!

Here, Here RockingHorse…I joined the Libertarian Party in 1990 for very similar reasons.

I think it is high time the Conservatives and Libertarians come together as a single force and clean house. I am sick and tired of the Dems vs. Repubs thing…not to mention the dimwitted voters who keep putting the same people back in office.

RockingHorseGuy

That would be great, Willie. If only there weren’t so damn many RINOs in the Republican party. The way I look at it, every foul and evil act of the Federal Government in the past couple hundred years was perpetrated by a Republican or a Democrat. Give or take a few years. I think it’s time we tried something different.

I agree RockingHorse, too many RINOS. I live in the 1st Congressional District in Ohio…I get to choose between Steve Driehaus and Steve Chabot.

Woo Hoo! How I long for a strong Libertarian or Tea Party candidate.

As a side note, I live only a few blocks from Driehaus – remember last March and all the hoopla about the vitrol from the right and threats to Driehaus? Check out this link:

http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20100328/NEWS01/303280022/Three-gather-for-health-care-protest-at-Driehaus-home-

Proof in point how the main stream media sensationalizes, distorts and downright lies for (lefty) political purposes. That’s why I HATE THE MEDIA!

You think you got it bad. Sure, my congressman is Duncan Hunter, who is a pretty decent guy. But when it comes to voting for Senator, or worse yet, President? California is going to keep sending those two commie bitches Feinsstein and Boxer back to the Senate forever, it seems, and all I get to is vote against them every time. And my vote in the Presidential race is always completely wasted, because California’s Electoral votes will ALWAYS go to the Democrat. Since my vote for President is meaningless anyway, I always vote for the Libertarian.

What a juvenile response by Repubs. Rather than act like sore losers they should unite and fight for conservative values, backing anybody-but-the Dem in the race.
Pathetic, really . . .

Sonny, the repub party isn’t interested in conservatism. Sure, they want to be the big cheese and enjoy a majority in both houses, but business would probably be as usual. Why? Because a high percentage of RINO’s share obama’s progressive ideology rather than conservatism. I agree with Ruben: Screw the GOP and the RINOs they keep riding in on.

Screw the GOP and the RINOs they keep riding in on. They think they’re playing chess and we’re playing checkers. Got news for them: we’re going to take away their boards and pieces in order to get the country back on track and away from globalists (be they Republicans or whomever) who are selling us out.

VOTE CONSERVATIVE!

Withholding the efforts of the party’s fund-raising machine might not be much of a threat once that machine isn’t raising any funds period.
