The real “fat cats.” “Under the present system, the beleaguered 99 percent are subsidizing the abodes of Hollywood and Silicon Valley ‘millionaires and billionaires’ – many of whom themselves have been railing against the 1 percent. Should the government provide tens of thousands of dollars in tax breaks for a blue-state 1-percenter to live in tony Palo Alto or Newport Beach…?” If the GOP had any brains or guts, they’d be pushing ideas like this harder than a French millionaire bidding on a house in Switzerland.

This article should be emblazoned everywhere in the United States. It is true and no one seems to want to answer these types of questions. And it will also PROVE that not only Republicans have money. The current impression is that Democrats are mostly working stiffs who barely get by, while Republicans (and other conservatives) are all wealthy beyond measure and hoard their money away from anything philanthropic or charitable. Why ARE we subsidizing the wealthy? THis is why I don’t care what the tax rate is for the wealthy. This is the type of loophole that needs to be closed. And even these will never touch the actual wealth, but only the income of the 1%. They will not suffer.
