THIS IS IT: Greece is probably going to default on Tuesday. It appears that Zorba the Greek has finally quit dancing and has run out of ouzo. EU tells them pay up by Tuesday or shut up.

Looks like Russia gets another ally, and a pipeline to the Mediterranean. Meanwhile when the markets tank, the Fed will commence to printing and pumping to shore up the house of cards.

Default on Tuesday. Because the whole country is off on Mondays?

I thought they were all off on Monday and Friday, only working Tue, Wed, Thur, except for essential services, then they have rotating 4 day weekends, so there is 7 day coverage.

OK, since I have no idea where to put this, I’ll put it here.
It’s maybe the most awesome thing I’ve ever seen, and they’re going into production later this year!
I see a huge market for this at IHOP, Perkins, Waffle House, and most other breakfast places.

Our lard can is getting pretty full too. The difference is, so far, we still have people in this country who are willing to earn their living.

Here in Germany, the PEOPLE did not want to join the euro, but the GOVERNMENT did it anyway. (sound strangely familiar?)

Hopefully, this will put Germany on track to pull out of the euro and go back to their own currency….and put the borders back up while they are at it.

Anybody with any economic smarts at all knew the Greeks were going to default after the first bailout. Bailouts two and three was just burning money up. If Greece had just left the euro after the first bailout there would be far less pain for the entire continent. But hey socialists are all about emotion and not reasoning.

It makes you wonder. The rest of the EU must have known all along that Greece couldn’t ever pay their debts, and would default.
What I wonder is, who stands to gain the most from this? Who are their biggest creditors? What do they stand to gain from Greece defaulting? What will they take ownership of, in order to satisfy their debts?
Is Soros involved in all this behind the scenes?
Nobody would keep throwing good money after bad, knowing that the people wouldn’t allow the austerity measures required to keep the country afloat.
As has been said before, watch Greece closely, they are the test case for the takeover of the US by our creditors. Obama has been running up the debt like a drunken sailor, knowing we have no chance of paying it, and now he’s pushing this group of trade bills, that will only decimate manufacturing in this country. All we will have left is the farming, oil, gas, and coal businesses that actually produce any commodities that we can sell, so we are ripe for a takeover. The world wants our food and fuel production for themselves, and they will take it in payment for our debt.

was it here at IHTM that ran the article about all the asians buying up our real estate?

also, a few years’ back, the governors’ convention in the US signed some kind of agreement with chinese officials… i don’t know exactly what that was. something that had to do with cooperative agreements in our own states, with them.

oh, i think i will take a break now and go get drunk in my own home while i still can. LOL!

Problem is Pop, we don’t owe ‘the world,’ we owe a vague consortium of strange bedfellows; statist bankers, Marxist ideologues, bandit businessmen, secular humanists, petty dictators, et al. I’m afraid George Soros is just the tip of the iceberg.

It’s still a dangerous position to be in. I believe it’s mostly Communists that we owe, and they look forward to nothing more than proving our model a failure.

I am sure these socialist dumb asses are going to blame the rest of the EU because the rest of them did not bend over and give more free money. Sounds just like the entitlement crowd that live here on our dime. There comes a point where electing the terminally stupid catches up with you. And somehow I just know the democrats that have infected America will blame the republicans because they did not give Greece a hand out. One good possibility is that this could kill the EU, or at least give it a terminal illness.

The EU was terminally ill upon establishment because it was founded on Progressive ideals instead of Individual, Responsibility, Liberty and Freedom.

I was stationed in Athens, Greece in the early eighties and it had already gone down that bottomless rabbit ($hit) hole. The overt Marxists and their union thug buddies were already an infestation, at that time Andreas Papandreou was prime minister; big socialist progressive, lots of ill will between the US and Greece at that time, primarily because we were getting really tired of paying their confiscatory demands to use their bases. Every May Day, the local Communist party unions would set up a big platform outside our airbase and cordon off the front of the base…no one on, no one off…even so far as, brutally assaulting pregnant women trying to get on base so they could go to the clinic! Marxists are lowbrow dicks wherever they’re from and it won’t go easy for those of us who oppose Communist rule in this country, especially if we don’t get rid of the RINO f**ks in Congress who’re pissing all over themselves to give up our rights. I’m fairly certain the Communist slime machine has some real dirt on high viz, high level politicians and judges…just saying.

among the many interesting things you said in your post above, one stands out the most: “I’m fairly certain the Communist slime machine has some real dirt on high viz, high level politicians and judges…”

the fact that all humans are sinners (or, whatever jargon anyone wants to use, for that matter, ie: make mistakes) and that the christian faithful tend to use something like expressing forgiveness and giving people renewed chances, this feature alone gives the PC+no-such-thing-as-god crowd the ammo to disregard private lives (ie, the practice of not airing one’s dirty laundry or anything sensitive) and thus legitimize turning their adversaries’ sins into public hangings of entire careers.

yep, a lot of that going on. it’s justified in their pursuit of institutionalized racism (and all other -isms, either for or anti- depending on what it is) and corporate greed. so, rectal exams for everyone to make sure you all ain’t carrying illegal thoughts. meantime, if they bust you for being naughty on your wife, woe to you politician!! (unless you’re a clinton, for example…)

And the only one Hillary could make money at. She certainly would starve if the had to make a living at the oldest profession.

You know, of course, some Johns aren’t very discriminating…she might be able to make enough to afford Bud Light and buy cigs, we’ll end up providing everything else, by paying for her EBTcard!

If this does happen, I would imagine our markets are going to tumble. How far they go is anyone’s guess. But we all know what that means. It’s time to buy buy buy!

It will be time to buy, when the markets crash.
I already moved my 401k from stock market based investments to interest rate investments. Funny thing, I didn’t even know about this, but my former union has a “current interest rate” investment that they locked in at 6.8%, and that is what I’m making on my money. I have been watching the interest compound daily since I moved it, and am comfortable knowing that I can’t lose money. My wife has been moved into an indexed annuity, which won’t lose money, even though it is in the markets, but it might not gain money if the markets crash.
