111 United Methodist ministers come out of the LGBTQI closet. On a related note, membership in the UMC has fallen by about 50% over the last ten years. Duh.

  • Embracing female "pastors" is a sure step towards total apostasy. While it's sad to see any church slide into that pit, this should not come as a surprise.

    • Especially to those who read Revelations... with that said... considering EVERYTHING, female pastors are the least of the Church's problems. In some cases, one could say that a female pastor is what a congregation needs, whereas no congregation needs an assault from forces that actively seek to destroy the congregation.

  • I suddenly have a desire to be part of Buddhism, but I will demand that IT changes to Christianity because you know... that just makes sense...

    Only deranged people (and evil people) insert themselves into a philosophy or practice that has NOTHING to do with their personal lives to then demand that it changes to suit THEM instead of them changing themselves to suit the philosophy they so freely entered into.

    Why not create a religion that suits their lifestyles instead of damaging a religion or denomination that at its core does not accept their behavior?

    Why must people be so crazy and evil like that?

      Is this just a rhetorical question you're asking, or an actual legitimate inquiry?

      My thoughts are that when looking at complicated situations like this, it's good to look at the source of the conflict. To be succinct, sodomy and delusion about personal sexuality originates from the Father of Lies, the Lawless One, Satan. His entire goal is to attack and corrode God's spiritual and physical creation. These sodomites are under Satan's control, hence like atheists, they seek Christians and churches to attack. It's a spiritual battle being played out on a human level.

      • Only because you paint all atheists with a broad brush, did I TD you. Atheists are like gays, in that there are the extremists, that try to cause religious people grief and pain, and privately atheist people that tell you in conversation, or if you ask, otherwise you wouldn't know.
        How do I know this? I have gay friends that are quiet and private about it, and don't push an agenda, and aren't in your face with it, by protesting or making a spectacle of themselves, and we have an atheist member here, who I have met personally, that doesn't push an agenda, or try to cause you pain with his beliefs, or try to convert anyone.

    • Sorry, it doesn't work that way! LOL They'll want EVERY Christian fellowship to accept them as equals. It's not acceptance they seek, it's hatred that is driving them.
