21 of world’s 50 most violent cities are in Brazil. Where this year’s Olympic Games are being held. Nice going, IOC.

  • I will say this, if you want to go to a nation like Brazil, you want to go when they have an event like the Olympics or the World Cup, which they hosted in 2014. Because there will be a serious effort to maintain law & order. Security is an issue because the host does not want to deal with the bad press of bad things happening to people visiting to enjoy an event. Not saying it will be 100% safe to visit, but it will be safer then it normally would be.

Same goes for visiting Russia for the 2018 World Cup...

    • World Cups are in different venues but they are nothing like the Olympics which are spread all over hell. What did they have for the World Cup, about four different venues? (I looked it up, there were twelve.) The Olympics will be all over Brazil, including out on the water. Hundreds of venues. I don't see how they can secure all of it. The Olympic Village will be secure, I'm sure. The one-armed unicycle sprints out in Westbumfuck? Not so secure.

  • Change the name to the death olympics......you may win, but you'll either be shot, kidnapped, knifed, run over, or get some hideousness illness you'll never recover from, all that for a participation trophy and a chance to snuggle with Brucilyn Jenner....

    • Two guys in a hospice center, circa 2017:

"What are you in here for?"

I'm dying of cancer and I had a stroke and both my feet had to be amputated because of diabetes. What are you in here for?"

"I was in the Brazil Olympics last year."

"You poor son of a bitch."
