Uh huh. That's the great dealmaker at work. "I'm going to negotiate with the Democrats and when I'm done negotiating we're going to raise taxes." No reason given why he would need to negotiate with Democrats unless he expects to lose the House or Senate in this year's election, and no idea what he means by "the wealthy" but we know from history that by the time politicians get done "negotiating," most of the middle class is considered wealthy. So we can expect a tax increase no matter who is elected.
Yea, I think $35k will be wealthy this year, unless you're on welfare, which pays more than that, then you're poor.

As for your quotation: you are quoting an interview with Chuck Todd. The linked interview was with George Stephanopoulos. That's two different people in case I'm being too subtle. I don't know, and I don't care enough to research it, but I'm guessing this is yet another example of Trump saying something incorrect/stupid/dishonest (you choose) and then mopping up the mess the next day by claiming he never said what he said. He does that almost daily. The first half of every interview is spent denying what he said yesterday, then he gets into whatever stupid thing he's going to say today.
It was Chuck Todd that said "got you". Even he understood. I simply offered another interview as proof you are being played.

By the way, on a completely different issue, your comment is another great example of how misinformed Trump supporters are. Evangelicals did not vote for Trump. Evangelicals cannot stand Trump. Fact is, some political surveys published results showing evangelicals voting for Trump, but that was misinformation as part of the propaganda war that elevated Trump to the win. They did this by allowing people to "self identify" as evangelicals. Pew did a more scientific survey in which they ascertained church-going frequency before asking who they voted for, and as expected actual church-going evangelicals despise Donald Trump. People who "self identified" as evangelical but only went to church on Easter, yeah, they voted for Trump. That's the delusional crowd.

I have come around on taxes for the wealthy. I now believe that certtain professions should be taxed at much higher rates. Hedge fund managers for example. They use the federal reserve spigot to make billions in what amounts to rigged gambling.
Now capital gains for the little investor, sales of property, capital assets lower. Lower taxes, but more importantly less regulations, for small businessmen.
I also think everyone needs skin in the game. Everyone should be paying some type of income taxes. The EIC, or more aptly named Social Security refund, should be lowered or eliminated.
Let's all remember that the BIG and ONLY win we got from the true conservatives of the GOPe for the 2010 tidal wave election was a freezing of tax rates for people earning over $400K. Then from the true conservatives of the GOPe we got a budget deal that gave Obama more than everything he wanted (including funding for illegal immigration, planned parenthood, Obama care,...), going to the mat for TPP, and rolling back sequestration budget cuts.

Perhaps you don't realize it, but your position does not match Trump's position before he clinched the nomination or his position now. Your candidate pissed, moaned, and pontificated about the evils of hedge fund managers ad nauseum during the campaign, but the day after Indiana he hired a hedge fund manager to raise money for him. My post was not in support of Trump's tax plan. You are correct in assuming that I do not know Trump's tax plan. His tax plan is a 2 for me. His stopping illegal immigration, building a wall and stopping unfettered muslim immigration is a 10. The fact he has run businesses and been successful (100% no) is a 9. His playing by the democrat poison politics and not taking the high road to losing, is a 9. His wanting to make fair trade and not screw America trade (having done world wide trade, I know this to be true) is a 9.
Is he perfect, in no way. do I agree with what he says, has done, and hopefully will do is what makes me a trump supporter. Not some zealot like you anti-Trump people appear to be.

Okay, now we're getting somewhere. You admit you don't know what the hell Trump's tax plan is. That's good, it shows a touch of honesty because even Trump doesn't know, let's face it. And you admit that his plan to build a "wall" and stop Muslim immigration is your big issue. (I'm going to ignore your comment about him being a successful businessman because I wrote a whole column pointing out how untrue that is.) So it's about immigration, right?
So what are you going to say or do, when he does a 180 on immigration? I would like to hear your answer before it happens, so please hurry.
