Brittney Griner freed in prisoner swap for ‘Merchant of Death’ Viktor Bout

Brittney Griner freed in prisoner swap for ‘Merchant of Death’ Viktor Bout. Of course, the Biden Administration won’ do jack about Marine Paul Whelan, who has been held in Russia for nearly four years on trumped-up espionage charges.

WNBA star Brittney Griner was released from a Russian prison Thursday as part of an exchange for notorious international arms dealer Viktor Bout, almost 10 months after she was arrested on drug charges at a Moscow airport.

“She’s safe, she’s on a plane, she’s on her way home,” President Biden said in remarks from the White House, where he was joined by Griner’s wife, Cherelle. The two spoke with the Phoenix Mercury center over the phone, according to senior White House officials.

  • I AM SO PISSED ABOUT THIS! The only redeeming quality here is that Brittany and her wife have at least recognized their privilege a bit here. They have vowed to keep working to help free Whelan and the other two guys still in Russia. Do I think She and her wife will be a bit more grateful to be American after this? Time will see. But I won't hold my breath. The left keeps saying, well, he has a bad conduct discharge. SO? Not a dishonorable. And if we are talking about mistakes, didn't Brit beat up her first wife? At least he served his country. Unlike her.

  • A kneeling bitch is negotiated for while a former US Marine is left behind. That is the summation of this cluster of an administration. Leave heroes behind while bringing home the haters. What's the over under on this "woman" doing the kneel again?

  • Biden is treating this like he's some kind of hero. I bet within two weeks he's telling stories about how he parachuted into Russia with Corn Pop and personally broke her out of prison.
