Matthews is using the Wilson era progressive standards. By those she is an "ethnic". Also, by those standards,the 20th Century progressives would have demanded that she be sterilized for the good of the utopian society they were building.

If that label puzzles you, you don't understand the left. Matthews wanted to paint Pelosi as a victim but you cannot be a legitimate victim to the left unless your skin is a certain color or your sexual proclivities are perverted. When that happens, you simply announce the target is ethnic... a la Elizabeth Warren, Rachel Dolezal, etc.
