I was stunned to read that a court sided with an insurance company. I never heard of the United States Court of Federal Claims. It's based in Washington DC and the judges are appointed by the President for 15 year terms. Currently there are 12 judges, all but three appointed by GW Bush and one who was (originally) appointed by Ronaldus Magnus. The other 3 are Obama appointees. Six slots are vacant.
Promises, promises. So the insurance companies believed government 'promises' which weren't funded by statute- too bad for them. They shouldn't have lain with the government swine.
