mmmmkay, what I find most disturbing is a possibility, perhaps even a likelihood, that Cruz set this up. The alternative is to trust a man whose pick for an important job (Tyler is a long-time political strategist) are career blood-sucking parasites. what will Cruz do in office?

Which means he's owned by the RNC, and will do whatever he can to discredit Cruz behind his back, because the RNC doesn't like Cruz, which is the best endorsement he can get!

Good for Cruz, he should have done it sooner. Tyler screwed the pooch when he spread rumors of Dr. Carson dropping out during the Iowa caucus and now this FUBAR. Someone in the RINO establishment bought the traitor, he was doing things to make Cruz look bad, we will know who when we hear who gives him his next job.
I've said it before, but I'm wondering which group has infiltrated Cruz's camp, Rubio, Trump, or the GOPe?
